Brown rice has lower glycemic index and better to diet with but there is no comparison to good sushi-grade white rice cooked in a high quality rice cooker like a Zojirushi.
Skip the sh*t brown rice typically found at most grocery stores and find a local asian market which typically carries a much higher grade of brown rice that is "stickier" than the typical long grain brown rice that is more common. A good medium grain brown rice is far superior to a long grain brown rice found on supermarket shelves.
I eat a lot of rice both when bulking and dieting....I typically include it in one or two of my meals each day plus I married an Asian so I got the inside line on good rice from bad.
Buy yourself a good rice cooker too because it will pay for itself within no time and lasts forever if you buy a quality brand....nice Zojirushis start around $100 and are bulletproof and easy to use and clean.

Brown rice has lower glycemic index and better to diet with
white rice is actually better for diet
here meso.......... i like white rice, plus it taste way better
heres a tip = drop the oatmeal and use white rice.
use zero fat simple carbs - less calories than "complex carbs"...and on restricted calories you dont need to worry about the glycemic load... no carbs are being stored regardless of whether they are fast or slow.
in fact using fast carbs might be superior for fat loss than slow carbs - a spike in insulin and the reslting dip ininsulin allows for greater fat metabolism during the period of low insulin. with slow carbs insulin slowly rises then goes back to normal - it never dips below normal.
compare 50 g of carb from white rice and 50 g of carb from oatmeal
less calories in white rice, and a higher spike in insulin which results in a "crash" of insulin levels below baseline...which then alows for effecient lipollysis (fat burning) and a consequent big jump in gh (and igf1) levels...
