Brandon Tate. When he and Nicks were both healthy, he was the clear #1 at Carolina. Also, he was a very solid return man.
Hope he gets healthy.

Agreed. Apparently Tate was thought of as the most explosive return man in the draft. He has all the tools and the size, hopefully he works out! I thought the pats had a killer draft. They started of with 6 picks in the top ten and left with:
Patrick Chung
Darius Butler
Ron Brace
Sabastien Vollhmer
Brandon Tate
Tyrone Mcenzie
Goerge Bussey
Jake Ingram
Myron Pryer
Julian Edelmen
Daryl Richards
+3 additional second round picks for 2010

the pats pretty much built a young 2nd and 3rd string squad. the pats amaze me every year.

It's funny because everyone was saying that the pats would trade up. I knew that was crap. I'm thrilled with Chung, Brace, Butler and Mcenzie. I'm pretty shocked they managed to wrangle 2 extra 2 rounders also. its all about role players for their system....they never get caught up in the flash.
Houston had a killer draft, also.

what do you think of ron brace?

I like him. He reminds me of Wilfork. Quick, athletic and he plays MEAN. He's a good height. Has a moter and pretty loose hips for a big man. Great at clogging up lanes and stopping the run. If contract negotiations break down with Wilfork, I see Brace as his replacement. I didnt see a better NT in this draft. I am really happy with the Brace, Chung, Butler and Mckenzie picks.
Next yeat I hope to god the pats go after Ron's teamate Herzlic:

I'd like to personally thank the Pats for trading Ellis Hobbs to the Eagles for two 5th rd picks. Looks like it will work out for both teams.

haha good luck with that. ;D He is a good return man, though.

Me to. Now I dont have to worry about him getting torched every game. He's not a good corner, but he is a very - very good return man. The pats traded Hobbs to dump his salery and because he was on the outside looking in with all the new CB depth.
Good deal all around. Hobbs will help your special teams.

I thought they did a great job. There was no way that they were going to move up/down and grab somebody inside the 1-20 ranks. BB likes to stockpile pics. We got rid of the smurf, and we got younger. Hobbs is a great return man. There was a report that the Vikes thought we were going after Harvin and Childress "stole" him from us...yeah after Chad Jackson...BB was going after a Florida receiver. ::)

No...he might be great but the Pats were'nt about to be burned twice.

Like the Patriots need another reciever.

in a year or 2 i think they will.

Agreed.
They need someone to start being groomed as a number one. Moss will be a number two in a few years. Sort of like how the Colts did it with Wayne. If all goes to plan.....Tate steps in as a number two next year, Galloway is cut, Moss is the number one and Welker is in the slot. They pick up a free agent as a number three (Gaffney type). The year after that, Moss is the number two while Tate is the #1.
If it works out of course.

they picked upsome bum from philly right?
hank basset? or brown?
he'll probably catch 50 balls for 650 yardsand 6 td's as the 3rd wr option
