The outbreak of swine flu should be renamed "Mexican" influenza in deference to Muslim and Jewish sensitivities over pork, said an Israeli health official Monday.
Deputy Health Minister Yakov Litzman said the reference to pigs is offensive to both religions and "we should call this Mexican flu and not swine flu," he told a news conference at a hospital in central Israel.
Both Judaism and Islam consider pigs unclean and forbid the eating of pork products.
Scientists are unsure where the new swine flu virus originally emerged, though it was identifed first in the United States. They say there is nothing about the virus that makes it "Mexican" and worry such a label would be stigmatizing.

My high school of all places is the only place in NY where there are reported cases of this illness. I have the feeling a really fat hooker from Tijuana is to blame for this pandemic.

I've been to Cancun and thought it was pretty awesome. Went cave diving around 1.5 hours out from the town and it was one of the coolest things I've ever done. Absolutely loved it. Don't know if I'd be driving out into the boonies of Mexico now with all those cartels running wild but it was definitely worth it back when I went.

It's not 1850 anymore and I could give two fucks about the citizens of Mexico or any other country right now. We needed something different this time around and we aren't going to get it with Obama.

There is no excuse. Most counties and local government don't even care to handle immigration issues. Especially now with the amount of sherrif and other police officers being released from their jobs. Recently a chicken processing plant was raided and almost the entire staff was illegals, near my home. They were detained. All released. Epic bullshit. I think the most that happened was some severe fines for employing illegals.

1. Europe's immigrants did not try to create a new Europe here.
2. Wire transfer services did not exist allowing the looting of the nation through remittances.
3. Immigrants tried to learn English and assimilate
4. Immigrants had to go through illness checks and register.
5. We did not have massive welfare systems for these people to go on welfare.
Granted there are many many good ones from Mexico, but that does not justify what is going on now. Its chaos.

Yeah I bet there are a few people out there right now who would LOVE to have the jobs the Mexicans are doing in this country. There is a reason we have a screening process. We shouldn't be giving criminals amnesty to stay here. I don't know how anyone in the US government that has any love for this country can think it's a good idea. Then the next wave of illegals who don't have amnesty will be asking for it in 5 years and I'm sure the bendovers in Washington will be happy to let them have it.

I'm on the border...they have this fence at one section that covers the railroad tracks and runs near a plant of some type, between Juarez and El Paso...pretty good fence or so I thought. It just stops...right across from a bunch of huts and the "river"....its a real damm well secured fence that anybody here would think is adequate. The damm fence has lights...some kind of box deal every hundred yards...and it just stops for no reason. It does not appear that they're waiting for more construction...it just stops. The whole thing is a joke. They need an Escape from New York fence with border guards/troops. The thing really needs a Hadrians wall set-up...with small garrisions every few miles...backed by larger ones at great distances...backed by even larger hubs. Either do it right or forget it.
