Title: Flex Wheeler's claims from his book
Post by: NarcissisticDeity on April 28, 2009, 05:07:24 PM
I was 31 years old, 300 pounds, and 5'10" tall. My biceps measured 22 3/4" , my chest measurements hovered around 50" , my calves were 22" around, and my quads were 32".

sounds about right  :-X

For an off season Flex, yeah. Do you notice that his waist measurement is not listed. ;) That is very telling. But I actually think his arms got bigger than 22 in comp. shape at one time.

45-55"

He means his calve implants measured 22"  :-X

He never had them ;). Chances are they were ecilene injections. I have a rare pic of a full back double bi from the 1993 Arnold, it shows his calves, flexed, with separation. Plus it was Shawn Ray who started it, so that he could get in Flex's head, which Shawn Ray admitted. I'm at work now so I can't post it.

This one? and Flex challenged Shawn to put up or shut up he would get them x-rayed and if he had implants he would have to pay I think $10 or 20K and if he didn't Shawn would have to pay him , needless to say Shawn never took the challenge

Is this a joke?  I don't know what is more unbelievable:

A) the idea that Flex actually wrote a book
B) that any publisher thought there was an audience for a Flex authored book
C) that anyone bought/read the book
D) that anyone here thinks any claim in the book is worth talking about

;D

Nope, there is a clearer pic, from full straight on. Clear as day it was. Showed his back, shredded glutes (which he never had after 1993), and shredded calves  And  It was in Chris Jefferson magazine, it had Eryk Bui on the cover. I posted it like 2 yrs ago.  Awesome pic. Pure perfection.

Shawn never took the challenge cause Shawn knew he never had implants, he was effing with Flex, and it worked.

Flex with a 45-55inch waist!!! Really??

Flex at 300 pounds, yeah. And if you have never noticed there are virtually no offseason pics of Flex (i'm talking the puffy 300 pound ones) like other bodybuilders. Plus he didn't really need to go up that high, since he competed at 215-246 (the last number was in 2001, when he was very sick)

Post the pic again please ! relatively few great pics of Flex at the 1993 Arnold , they need that on video so we can see some great screencaps of that contests , I got a few crappy ones from a Youtube video and a few scans but that it

and I seriously think Shawn believed Flex had implants but he wasn't willing to put his money where his mouth was .

A) He obviously didn't ' write ' it he told his story and a writer did the rest
B) Books there is always a market apparently
C) I bought it lol and paid full price something I almost never do with books , I usually buy books on the subject of bodybuilding
D) Isn't that what these boards are for?

He's the king of exaggeration.   Physique and what he says.   I liked the book, but from catching him lying in it, I am not sure WHAT exactly WAS true in it.   Not even Grandma NOT wearing a bra because they cost too much!!!!!!!   BUT  he had a nice physique.

I thought you would be more aware that he didn't even mention Dorian's name when going into the 1998 Mr.O, all he said was 'The previous champion had retired'.

When he tried to push the book in MM a few months previous, he did say that the car jacking incident would be in it.

Hell, it's Kuwait, one dinar ($3.20) is a drop in the bucket for them. That's like Mcdonald's having a .25 Menu instead of the dollar menu.

And the appraoching then, that probalby the reason, why he is "lazy" at that time, can't get any work done if people keep talking to you.

Yes, someone who melts their kidney's from overt drug abuse and them scams and slimes his way to someone elses kindney.....one of the lowest acts in the industry.

I thought you would be more aware that he didn't even mention Dorian's name when going into the 1998 Mr.O, all he said was 'The previous champion had retired'.

When he tried to push the book in MM a few months previous, he did say that the car jacking incident would be in it.
From what I was told, Flex didn't mention the car jacking because the book was around the time he found religion and was going to avoid all LIES in the book.   :o

He got the kidney and went right back to the juice  :-X
some people never learn  :-\

did he have 1 working kidney?
or were both his kidneys having problems?
it would make no sense for that lady to give a healthy kidney so Flex could have 2 healthy kidneys  :-X
He traded the calf implants for both her kidneys!!!! ;D

I used to run into him a lot at the LA shows but haven't seen him in over 10 yrs. He reminds me of that Rory guy who used to hang around Mike Tyson.

No   Rory (a blk guy) was some guy who was like the president in Mike Tyson's entourage. I forgot his last name   but it certainly wasn't Liedemyer.

he looked his best at 218 to 223, heaviest he got to was 235 and was off, at 218 to 235 he could have maybe won an olympia but he only got to that shape once just after turning pro. Appareantly problems with his water regulation due to the onset of his kidney disease made it difficult to get that dry again even with the use and overuse of diuretics.
