In order to be the Athlete's rep, you would have to be an IFBB pro. Vince Basile is not.
Even if he was elected, the only thing that would change would be a 3 hour nap before and after every meeting and all athletes would be made to play shuffleboard and Bingo.... ;D

Vince is too opinionated for the job thats fine for TV and radio but not for representing the
athletes bodybuilders.

Basile understands the sport. He has over 40 years in the industry, Mr Canada IFBB and philanthropist.
He has shown that he has the balls to go head to head with people like Chick.
Basile at one stage, decided to take the fight to the DEA regarding the drug rule. In wisdom, he later changed his mind.
Apart from Shawn, i can't think of anyone else with such worthy credentials!

Look, many here are understandably suspicious of Basile. However, it is important to put prejudices aside. Basile would flourish in this postion.
Fact is, Bob has had his chance and failed.
The position needs to be reinvented..Basile has the vigor, wisdom and intelligence to bring life back to this post.

Yes I used steroids in the past but I don't go around telling people that they are bring down the sport by the use of them which is what Basile is doing.

He won his country's national championship (albeit in 1970) in an IFBB-sanctioned event, so he should be qualified as a pro. It should be noted that he did this in his first try; it didn't take him 20 years of kicking around the NPC as it did others who shall remain nameless.
