...and why?
Me: Anthony Clark, in the 90's his quest for that big bench was just incredible.
Btw, where he's now and what he's doing?
-
Anthony passed away in 05
-
Kaz or Pasanella.

Didn't know that, terrible news.

ed coan, the versatility to set records in multiple divisions is amazing
-
Lamar Gant. Who still holds ( I believe) the world record deadlift of 683lbs @132. I was lifting in the same weight class at the time.
It was a shame about Anthony. I was always amazed at his reverse grip style!!
-
my favorite powerlifter is ripitup because she can lift heavy weights AND make a mean lasagna !
-
my old friend Jay Rosciglione from my former gym is one of the all time greats at 165, squatted 765, benched 415 and pulled 695 in the old APF in the mid 90's.

His 910 squat raw and deep is still unbelivable 35 years later.
this day he benched 600 and dl 845.
all raw.
my fav are john kuc john cole and ed coan.
-
Why?
cole's and kuc's lift have never been equaled raw.
ed coan is simply from another planet.

I like the thread (most of the time), but dont read into it too much. ;)

This dude had a crazy build for deadlifting - at lockout his arms came to just above his knee. If he pulled sumo I'm pretty sure the bar would only need to move about 2 inches to get locked out.
-
marunde. Loved his all out effort and enthusiasm.
1 slip up from beating puj, 1 slip!
-

I gotta go wit Bernadelli (sp?) he's a 165er from ohio, and I saw the dude at a meet here in Columbus, Ohio, and he could do it all. Plus, the dude had an outstanding granite-like physique on him, wit very broad shoulders 8)

jon cole
multiple all time historical records in multiple weight classes; walked out his squats back then. never knew he did 910 raw, I think he is only credited with 901 raw w/wraps squat at 288lbs.
