i have to say it was pretty good.
the young cast all worked well - and it really opened up whole new possibilities for the franchise.
the only downside of the movie was the shoulder cam action style that puts you in the thick of the action - i hate that as you can't focuson anything as everything flys by.
i hope it kicks off a sci fi trend again as the lack of movies and tv shows based in space is pathetic these days :(
have any of you seen it? what did you think ?

Young? Not really. no younger than the original cast. Better looking? yes. I hate how JJ Abrams likes to do the video cam moving shots. It makes me sick

Havent seen it yet but DAMN Uhura never looked so hot :D

Still suffering in remission and unable to go out but at least I'm still here!!
Panda, did you go the the IMAC at the Glasgow Science Centre? I saw the 3d Polar Xpress there a couple of years ago plus a 3d simpsons thing with my new wifes kids. Very impressive.
What's all this about you being homeless? Or is that a joke ?
regards, Jimmy

Well as a season ticket holder I have every right to be at Ibrox tomorrow however due to the chemo I have no resistance to germs so I could die if I bump into a scurvy Pape!!!
I do feel that this is the title decider though. I thought the Gers had lost it back in November so to be at this stage is a bonus.
I'm really concerned about your predicament however. I don't like to see a fellow Jock in strife so please let me know if I can help you in any way.
Is my memory playing tricks or did you used to train at the old Templeton Business Centre on Glasgow Green?
Look after yourself son and let me know if I can help you in any way.
Kind regards
Jimmy

cheers jimmy, that very nice.
You know us scots though, we survive :D
i'll be fine. just had a major run of bad luck, but like i said, i'll be in a flat soon enough and once the police stop skiving and sort my disclosure i'll be working again.
i've never trained at venice studios at the templeton building. I heard its a great gym though.
i went in around a month ago to look around as i was looking for a gym to join after selling all my weights at home ( due to the homeless situation)
but i was disappointed, there were not enough free weights and the dumbbells didn't go past 50kg :(
i'll get back into it once i'm sorted. can you suggest any good gyms ?
i agree about tomorrow, title decider right enough. i think we are playing well, but the loss of scott brown is a big blow. if and its a big if, crosas, naka or mcgeady play at their best i think we will win. but of walter shuts up shop and frustrates us i think you'll get the win.
should be a great game 8)
take care mate, i'm glad you're doing well 8)

great to see you're still around jimmy

Jimmy did you ever decide which Charity to donate to? I cant find the old thread...

seen the trailer, it looks cool and hip like another Marvel movie. Kinda looks like the essence of star trek is not there anymore.
Always been a Star trek (TNG) and Star trek Voyager fan, ive never watched DS9 though
-
yes, she doesn't like to talk about her ass though :-\
weak.
but not unexpected.
congratulations.

Nah the essence of Star Trek is definitely there. Hell they even kill off Ensign Red Shirt! :)

You just failed.

You just failed.
How's it failure when it's truth? ;D
Oh, you must be a Trekkie. ::)

Trailer for it looks really good.

OK. Am I the only one who doesn't care for anything and everything Star Trek?
-
Kinda looks like the essence of star trek is not there anymore.
They jumped the shark when the main characters became competant actors, when unnamed crewmen in the background quit indiscriminately turning knobs on refrigerator box cardboard sets with a randomly overlayed soundtrack of bleeps and bloops, when there were no more extreme closeups with lighting across the eyes only, and when battle sequences required more than hurling yourself over the railing on the captain's right while setting off fireworks on the navigation console.

congratulations.
like your physique you mean ?

Hello Panda, I used to train at the old Templeton factory maybe 15-20 years ago when it was on the 3rd floor and was serious heavy duty. All the bouncers and hardmen of Glasgow trained there. You had to have 3 scars or be ex military just to join. My time with the Black Watch got me in. I trained with a guy called Jim who owned the Mayfair nightclub on Sauchihill Street and the Videodrom on Miller Street. He was caught in 1990 with 20,000 exticy tabs and 180kg of Cocaine by the Police and got 25 years at the Bar L. The new gym is very nice but they let anyone in.
Glad to hear that things are looking up for you son.

Dave, the best thing is that I made amends with my son Lewis. My first grandchild is on it's way and I am so pleased that the Getbig members made me see the light. I may not see the end of this year but I'm feeling really good right now.
Please everyone remember that life is short. Make the most of it guys.
Jimmy
