Does any one here remember "Easter Chicks".  Egg and chicken farmers can determine the sex of chicks before they hatch and since roosters are less valuable than hens, they would segregate the rooster chicks and color them with food coloring and sell them in super markets as Easter novelties.  Of course, the chicks would grow up into aggressive roosters, great fun.

Another thing, chicken soup is almost exclusively made from roosters.
