John Weaver: GOP "Headed For A Blowout" In 2012 If Cheney, Limbaugh, Palin Lead
Another leading Republican strategist has voiced concerns about the direction of the GOP.
John Weaver, a top adviser to Utah Governor John Huntsman, said this week that the Republican party is headed for an electoral "blowout" if it continues to be defined by "Palin and Limbaugh and Cheney."
The Washington Examiner reported:
"If it's 2012 and our party is defined by Palin and Limbaugh and Cheney, then we're headed for a blowout," says strategist John Weaver, who advised Huntsman and was for years a close adviser to Sen. John McCain. "That's just the truth."

240, remember a year+ ago when you were all high and mighty on Palin? I do. :D

And I'm sure Mr. Weaver will be apologizing to Headrush soon.
He's right, though.

I for one am supporting Palin in her future adventures. Supporting and encouraging Palin is the best thing one can do for the Dem party right now.

I thought:
1. Unending Wall Street Bailouts
2. Card Check
3. Cap & Trade
4. Taking over the auto industry
5. Tax increases
6. Massive deficit spending
Were the best thing for the Dems????

Ummmm, didnt we just run THE MOST moderate republican in the country? How did that go?Now,the last time Cheney was on a ticket,he won in a landslide, while Rush was pumping the ticket. The republicans are headed for a blowout if they think Powell and Specter and McCain are what the people want.By the way,51% of the country now identifies themselves as pro life, the vast majority are against gay marriage, want lower taxes. The last thing republicans should do is pretend to be democrats.

QFT. Until a GOP candidate can explain economics like Schiff does, explain gay marriage and abortion like Dennis Prager does, and explain liberty issues like Ron Paul, the GOP is DOA.

Having Palin on the GOP ticket erases all that. Add her to the ticket and another sure fire win for the Dems.

I dont disagree. I like her myself, but am honest enough to say she does nothave a commanding presence discussing issues like RP, Schiff, or others I would prefer.
I think Obama can and will be a disaster, but he can still win reelection because the GOP sucks that bad. They offer nothing but Dem-lite nonsense..
