Title: Let's end this: there is no such thing as natural.
Post by: Deicide on May 20, 2009, 04:27:39 AM
Let's face it, there is no such thing as truly natural: creatin with waxy maize, ultra filtered 100% whey isolate, 5 component protein, multivitamins, NO products, glucosamine tablets, etc. What is natural about any of this? The only way you could be natural is if all you did was eat normal food and train. There are NO NATURALS in any real sense of the word and that is a fact, gear is just another unnatural thing among many.

There are many naturals, but it's just that you have no idea they train until they tell you.  :)

Idiot, steak has a good amount of creatin in it..so if one guy eats more steak than the other guy then he is not natural?  ::)

you are a piece of total garbage, why not spend the time in the end gym instead of starting useless threads?

no such thing as natural bodybuilding

hormones are not a bad thing either

its all about perspectives

nothing is equal in sports anyway e.g. coaching, genetics, environment, socioeconomic status, culture, family, religion

The extraction process is not natural and what about all the other things I mentioned? On a molecular level synthetic testosterone is also natural as it is identical to the 'real stuff'.

It's fine if you don't want discussion but the fact is that there is no such thing as a REAL natural.

natural = food + food replacements (includes creatine, aminos, etc.)

None of that stuff even works anyways, if you were happy with yourself you wouldnt try to bring the rest of the world down and call them unnatural cause they were trying these legal products. The problem lies with attaining happyness for yourself then teach others. You cant teach others to do it right naturally if you cant first on your own, when u do u just sound angry and like you have given up. Dont give up we are all on the same team trying to do it right, face the facts very few have done it right naturally, the some that do only have one part or the other of the equation right (being only ripped with no size or vice versa)

its just amino acids, do you realize ALL foods are amino acids? Maybe not always the right combo of them but they are simply amino acids in everything

Hardly. I think roids are great. I never criticised anyone for juicing.

Deicide: I really want to root for you and encourage you to just train hard, train smart, eat right, and do your thing.  But you are so negative all the time, and mostly it comes down to yourself and not being happy and satisfied with your bodybuilding results.  Be proud more of the process and knowing that you're giving it your all in the gym (if in fact you are giving it your all; not sure) rather than putting yourself down due to "bad genetics", etc.  Lifting weights is such a small part of life man; just give it your all like you should be doing in all other aspects of life; true happiness will result.  And before you know it, you will progress more with your physique than you expected.  Going to the gym is more than just about lifting weights -- it's a personal challenge with yourself to outdo your last workout, and then get out and enjoy the rest of the day and life in general; at least that's how I look at things.

All I do is eat and train, no supplements at all, am I not natural?  As far as I'm concerned anyone who is not using illegal drugs is natural enough to compete in a natural show.  On the other hand, these things you are talking about are definitely not natural in the sense that you are using the word.

What is "Natural" about lifting weights and dieting in pursuit of strength you will never use and a physique stays covered most of the time?

Strength can be very useful for athletes.

I agree. But the average person in a gym or a fitness club is not an athlete and most of them could care less about their health.  The majority of the people are there for strength and appearance and living a life that requires neither.

They are there to improve their appearance in order to enhance their abilities to find a mate and thus reproduce to further their genes. It doesn't get more natural than that my man. We no longer have the option of killing a mastodon to show our manliness.

That may be true for the single and looking crowd, what about the rest?  I was just saying that this whole "Natural" thing in this case is being taken literally.  Pretty much every aspect of our existence has been modified or manufactured in some way so what is natural then?  I think most expressions and titles are inaccurate if taken literally.
