Anyone here experiment with high rep ranges for squats regularly?

every few months I'll take a leg workout, decrease the weight and do sets of three sets twenty.  damn near kills me.  not sure it helps at all tho.

Stick used to use the serge nubret method of 8 sets of 12 which is pretty grueling but he didn't think it was very effective for muscle growths.

I read an article before and started it. I had been injured for a while and thought would be good to rehab.

Started with 2minutes of squatting with 35% of your max every session you add 20seconds

After the initial workout you condition very well.

I stopped the routine short as I recovered. Though not epic but I was squatting 135lbs I think for 80+ reps

Lower back gets very very tight

What would be the point?  Nobody really trains them.  The only people with "good" (I think short, fat and thick, forearms are disgusting personally) are fatsos, midgets with short arms or those on a ton of drugs

Do you train forearms?
Super high reps focusing on pumping them up to the max

Do this many times per week,
you gotta constantly stretch and engorge the muscle

Heavy Deads/rows etc won't do shit. They're useless if you don't have the good forearm genetics.

I think you have the possibility to exploit your genetics if you keep at it and do not waver.  Your genetics are quite good in my opinion considering the short amount of time you have been at it.  Keep up the work and don`t believe the "bro-Science" as Wavelength would say.

I did Super squats (20 reps with a weight you can handle for only 10 reps) pretty often back in the days, felt like I'm gonna pass out every time, it's really the hardest thing you can do, a true life-and-death struggle.

When I heared that Jesse Marunde dropped dead after a set of high rep squats I got scared and never did them again. ;D

i do 50 bodyweight squats every 3rd night. might not sound impressive, but its damn hard when you weight 270lbs +

i've also did hiit squats using a olympic bar, as many squats as i can for 20 secs, 10 secs rest etc.

the hiit feels worse  :(

I've noticed some improvements doing seated DB shrugs. Do 8-10 heavy, then grab a lighter pair of DB's and bang out as many as you can, holding at the top for 2 seconds or so.

no 1-2 rep one leg squats are more than enough done with perfect form.  If you need to go higher or use weights you probably are cheating.
