Title: Do you like interleague play???

The novelty has worn off a bit, but i still like it. It hasn't ruined the world series like some claim IMO.

Watching the Nationals play the Orioles as we speak. Two teams on the opposite side of the 295 Balt/Wash Parkway. Still taking some getting use to but I like watching interleague play. I like the matchups when you have an AL team with a dominant DH player that has to conform to an NL lineup.

Adds a little intrigue to the World Series, late in the season...

I used to be a baseball fan.  I for one absolutely HATE interleague play.  It hasn't only ruined the WS in my opinion, but it has made the All-Star game a f***ing joke.

Actually, interleague play is only a symptom...the real problem is the shit-for-brains trinity of Bud Selig, the owners, and the union.

how could somebody not like it?

if you're a big fan of a national league team, how could you not want to see a star studded yankees team come to town?

and why is this an issue with baseball but no other sport?  man baseball sucks

Fair question.  I wish I could give a concise answer without sounding like I'm 85 years old  :D

Basically, it revolves around tradition, I suppose.  Baseball is different than other sports (if for no other reason, it is the only sport in which the defense has the ball).

I realize I am in the minority on this issue.

I like it other than the "rivalry" matchups.  It's unfair when one team always has to play a specific team based on supposed rivalries.  One team may always draw a better team because of this.

I love the fact that the Phillies took two games from the Yankees, shows how good we are.

Phillies need another pitcher, IMO.

No doubt about it...Moyer needs to retire. I'm sick of watching him try get his 250th win. He's got nothing left. Good career, though.
