Wow, and I thought Star Trek sucked so I don't know if I should waste my time seeing Terminator. :-\

I'm sure none of us are 100% in line with our tastes.  Most people that commented on Star Trek here thought it was a pretty good movie.  It's getting a full grade higher by reviewers and critics than Terminator.  My guess is that if you didn't like star trek, you won't like Terminator, but hell, maybe you'll love it.

I just saw it.

I thought is was ok.  Some of the dialog seemed forced and as if the writer/director was trying too hard develop a character.  Story was OK, just overall kind of flat but not a bad movie.  Just not particularly great in any way.  Star trek much better.

I liked it because I'm a big special effects guy. The storyline was a bit ragged but it was entertaining none the less.

I think it was just a different story line than we were used to so people weren't open to it...mainly because Ahnold wasn't in it.

I thought what they did however was pretty cool.

Definitely.  Christian Bale's voice a little annoying but I liked the movie better than most.

they had to make a change, you can only do the "terminator chases john/sarah connor, terminator protects john/sarah connor" so many times before things got old

Yeah the story was good IMO, but the execution of it wasn't as good as it could have been.  They had to develop 3 characters and missed the bulls eye on 2 of them.

Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed it, just not as much as i thought i would.

I wanted my $8.25 back because i am a baller and i did not like the movie. I did notice when Arnold came in and was kicking Christian Bale's ass. T:4 was better then T:3 but i am not a special affects type of guy. I did enjoy the Brunette with the nice Hooters.

So as I read it wasn't worth taking this job too seriously for Christian...  ;D

good film.

a T5 is possible.

As Bale has a contract for three Terminator movies, i expect not only T5, but also T6.  ;D ;D

The movie sucked ass, I thought. Visually entertaining but the acting was awful. Putting Michael Ironside(nice phony name) and Common in the movie seemed silly to me. The focus on the child was boring and unnecessary. It was missing that somber, apocalyptic feel that the first two movies visualized so well in short scenes. If you intend to a give a franchise a much-needed reboot, then cast younger, less commonly-known actors to surround a super talent like Bale.

And make the movie fucking rated-R, dammit!(Like the first three were)

ummm... don't know what to tell ya, ...but it's his name. I asked him about it once, and the truth is Ironside is his real surname, ...but his momma named him Frederick.  :-\  He couldn't even go with his middle name cause that one was waaaay worse than Frederick, ...so he chose a normal sounding name like Michael. Wouldn't you?  :D
