last night Some friends family went to dinner... i ate an entire fried onion.. google "bloomin onion" if you dont know what it is... plus a 16oz new york... plus an entire jug of ice cream.. today im going to an Oakland A's game..

I knew Steve in the 50's and there was no one in the US who could even come close to his build. Bodybuilding was completely unknown back then (relatively speaking) and everyone was interested in this kid with the exceptional build.

One of the major Oakland newspapers even wrote a major article on "this exceptional kid" by interviewing his mother and some of his friends in school.

His mom claimed that Steve never had a cavity and never had a cold.

And the best of his photos never came close to doing him justice, but that photo above is among his best as far as I'm concerned.

I wonder if that Oakland article can be found on the internet?
Anyone know the exact year that that photo was taken?

Alot of guys would say he looks small,

But at his height (6"1) with those broad shoulders,

he'd look very impressive in person

I remember Bob Chic saying the first time he saw Bob Paris in person, he was much larger and more impressive than expected, probably due to height and width
