hey. I am sick and tired of the camera men for the bodybuilding shows. every single pro show ever filmed always has the same shitt camera style. moving the frame before every one hits the pose, just zooming in on one guy for a pose, going to side views, etc. this is all bullshit. we need the camera to stay focused, all bodybuilders in the frame, from directly the same point of view as the judges table. as a fan watching a bodybuilding show, we watch because we like to judge the physiques against eachother(well most of us that is). if the camer only shows one of the bodybuilders(or any amoutn besides all of them), or is goin to side angles, or th COMMENTATORS ARE DISTRACTING US !! *hint bob and dan during routines*... it fucks up the viewing experience.
We need to get this changed before the olympia this year. Bob, Ron, Lift... speak on this and inform us to how we can help make sure this happens.

Its just a part of the game buddy. Since I am alsways in the worst shape of everyone else....they avoid me which is cool because I fear they may go home and ENJOY what they see. ooops

Commentary is provided just as any other sport has it...lending insight, expertise and critique is what makes it entertaining...most of the routines are boring slow music as it is.
As for the camera work...I agree for the most part...panning back so you can see comparison would be better, and the ever present side angle is useless

How can it be improved Bob? Your thoughts?

Just gave two examples in the above post....the fancier they try to get, the worse it is...
If you notice, we rarely talk when one of the better posers is up, or when the music is relevant to the routine.

So it seems the great posers take care of this themselves, the others well the Photo Guys have to try and look around for better things to entertain the audience.

The webcast for the Arnold was pretty good this year. Though annoyingly enough, it worked fine for me till the actual placings were being announced, then it started freezing......

i would like to concur
As a fan , ive bought numerous Olympias and it sucks when the camera guys pany awy , whats the point of the show when we cant see how they compare

Yes, candycolon likes to see all the men in the line up at once so he can "judge" them all at once.

You have quite the shitty angles yourself, stud :P

Are we talking about webcasts or DVDs?
Because via webcasts, I agree with you that during the comparison rounds, we should have the camera angle back to see all of the competitors against each other and not pan close so you only see one. That is why we have individual poses, and comparison poses.
I think that is a good assessment, and yes, it is something to be brought up for the next webcast.
As for Bob and Dan talking, I have no problem with that, when the music is slow, and the posing is slow...
but if you have someone like Kai Greene or Melvin Anthony, or some good kick ass music, in which the competitor is a top poser, it is different.

That's what she said ;D

A great posing routine was ruined! :'(
Some of us have a true appreciation for bodybuilding...

While your at it, fix the fucking stage lighting. Shows like the 99 English Grand Prix are examples of exaclty how it should be done. Even the Olympia and the Arnold have shit lighting which shows the physiques poorly.
