[Deicide]Black people = great genetics; no need for cardio or decent diet. Once saw a Nigerian run the New York City marathon and he ran for a long time. I guess that means Nigerians = great genetics for running long distances. [/Deicide]

It varies by intensity level.  I have done as much as 60 minutes at 70% (MHR) intensity, 45 minutes at 80%, and only 30 minutes at 90%.  Above that, I can only do in short (:30 or less) bursts, like in Tabata.

I've gotten my leanest without it.  I'd rather just eat less then torture myself and waste time doing cardio.   I will do 10-15 minutes every now and then just to keep my heart and lungs in shape.

To answer the question,

When I swam competitively I would practice for about 2-3 hours without a break of more than 10 minutes.

When I ran Track and Cross-Country, I would run 10-20 miles at a time.

what events did you do in track?  i did the mile freshman year, but then switched to a "weight man" (shot put and disc) sophomore year.  i sucked balls, but it gave me an excuse to lift weights (not as a meathead, but the fb coach was also the track coach).

Agreed.

I also think if you're eating more, even though you may have some more time on the cardio piece of choice, you'll have less chance of losing muscle. Same goes for keeping your strength while eating more and still doing more cardio.

85 minutes.

Maybe about a month ago. That was hard. I kept my heart rate in the 118-122 range and must have burnt more than 1000 calories in that session.

Never again with that bullshit. No more than 60 minutes. Anything more than 60 is catabolic. Fuck that!

Power rod you should just try eating a good amount of vegetables.  They'll fill you up so you'll eat less overall.
Cardio takes up too much time and it's for twinks.

I remember my track suits smelling like pure ammonia.
