Ain't jack...without mods...sad. iI takes a tuner to unleash the beast...there is a 16 yr old where I am who drives (probably his father's) a red R35 GT-R. that's a accident waiting to happen.

There is a guy in my building that owns a Nissan GT-R, just like the one pictured below (same color as well).  Dude keeps it covered all week long and only takes it out on the weekend with his wife!

for +$75 Grand I'd be out in that baby every second of every day of every week.  I have yet to see what he drives during the week!

Are you serious?? These cars from the factory (R32 at the time of course) are some serious machines, tuned they are even crazier. Hell, the Supra TT at the time in 93, was running stock .98 lateral g's, 4.8-5.1 0-60, 13.5 quarters!! I've owned a Supra TT and an RX7 in the past and they are some of the best cars' I've ever had. With mods they are hell on wheels!

I agree with Parker mate , r32 gtr from factory is boring and not quick its once livened up abit is when they start to haul ass.

Factory 1/4 mile claims in real life mean nothing  :)

Not really, I've driven an R32, R33, and R34, even a S15 silvia. Those Skylines stock are VERY quick, so I don't go by magazine quotes at all, just a reference. From the factory these cars are very fast for its time. I mean what are you guys comparing the R32 to anyways, a porsche 911 GT2???? For it's class hard to beat, take a look at the new R35 GTR.

Owned a lot of those as well, e36, e46, and current e92 M3. Had a C55 amg in the past as well as a couple of the air cooled 993 911's.

All great to have and drive, shouldn't descriminate cause of country origin.

I own a 700hp 32 mate..and have owned many skylines from the attessa driven to the rwd version.in stock trim they are not that great mainly due to the gentlemans agreement that had power limited to such a low level for quite a heavy car.

I dont like the new 35 takes to much away from the driver and has a homosexual paddle shift , just my prefrence though. would much rather a modded 32,33 or 34 around a track than the 35.  :)

Much props! I see where you're getting at with the gentlemans' agreement. It was around what 280hp?? Now was it?? These cars from stock were well known to have a lot more then what was advertised, correct? I guess different strokes for different folks. IMO, these cars stock were pretty impressive, it's all relative to what you compare them to, but modded of course they are insane.

About the R35, great car, buddy of mine has one, but if price was no object I would opt for the 911 turbo instead :D

I'll take a 93 RX7 R1 moded out over the R32's any day of the week.  RX7's were just more exciting to drive for me personally.

Ive driven plenty of concrete mixers(rotors) in my time and no way do they come close to godzilla , comes back more to drivers prefrence id say , The batman is a sexy looking car tho and in the looks dept its one of my faves  :)

The BNR32s are pretty close to that spec/hp ,the BCNR33 gained more torque due to being heavier ,the BNR34s Ive seen on dynos have all made more than the claimed factory hp figures in stock trim , in most cases a good 20kws at all four wheels but nissan still claim the 280bhp  :D

With the R35 the gentlemans agreement has been removed so there is no limitations any more hence being 500hpish out of the box..
Its a big car and personaly I dont like the look of it , but I thought the same with the 350z and now id love to own one as long as i could turbo it  :D

Yea it's really just driver preference, I don't have anything against R32's, they are excellent cars especially when modded, I just have a special place in my heart for a 20b 3 rotor RX7 :)

I see several skylines a day here. No big deal.

Lightweight? 1500kg plus with driver isnt overly quick..Chuck another 150hp via better breathing and boost increase then they become alot better, the next stage is quite costly , upgrading turbos, fueling, ecu ,rebuild engine and then you take it into godzilla terority and can pretty much destroy anything on the road.

Yeah, I've owned an 95 RX7 touring 10 years ago, excellent car, piss poor reliability, but hella fun. I got that thing to 565 to the wheels, street port motor, t78 turbo, haltech e6k, bigger injectors, etc... Thing was a beast. It didn't hurt either cause gas was like 99 cents for 93 octane here in tx.

Well, let's see, first of all, the movie was made in america, second, japanese tuner cars are much more affortable, and popular among the younger crowd then kraut mobiles.

Good choices, no doubt about it! I agree though BMW and Mercedes do make great cars don't get me wrong, that's why I currently own a BMW ;) I really enjoyed driving around in the 335i, when my car was in the shop for it's first oil change and service. Love the turbo motor.

real estate investments.

Here in the states, however, you already know that cars are a lot cheaper compared to where you live.

The 335i was a loaner car when my M3 was in service, I loved it. Here an M3 couple is 59k before options I believe, I got mine loaded with DCT transmission, premium package, cold weather, carbon fiber roof, for around 70k.

By the way, I'm nothing compared to a lot of my getbig brothers who drives Ferrari Enzo's, Lamborghini Murcielago LP640's, Bugatti Veyron's, dates supermodels, multi millionaires and billionaires, weighs 250Ibs at 5% bf and benches 500Ibs for reps............. but it's a small step ;D

Nice car, but you have to sit on the wrong side with skylines...

300-400hp is more than enough. Try turning, don't just go in a straight line. Max out your driving skills too, much more fun to feel the Gs

Nice estimation there buddie but it wasn't 1500kg, and often WITH engine modifications they got lighter.

LOL estimation? dude they come from factory 280bhp not 300bhp thats at the engine and weigh 1430kg curb weight , add gas and driver and you have over 1500kg of car , fukin slow..we were talking stock standard here when you waded into the disscussion , How the hell can you make a cars curb weight ligjhter with engine mods lol ?

No, they weren't...R32's were quite tame, and I'm American...a guy down the street has a imported JDM one, stock...and it is very tame, as with most R32, 33's, and 34's. And the Supra TT was a overweight pig, that cost too much. And now it's didn't get those figures, it was around upper 5's. As a matter of fact the NA version is slower than a IS300...I know I have a IS300.
