Title: Do your pets know when your hurting?
Post by: CalvinH on June 01, 2009, 10:42:49 AM
My girlfriends cat Jane{the one that stole my spot on the couch >:(} does.
she just not that friendly unless it's suppertime.
well a few weeks ago I ended up in the hospital.the day I went I was laying in bed and she snuggled up close to my head{something she never does}.when I finally got up to take a shower she sat on the bathroom floor{again something she doesn't do}.when I went and sat on the bed while waiting for my ride to the hospital she again snuggled up to my side.
after a 5 day hospital stay she was waiting for me at the front door.she rubbed herself against me for a good 10 minutes.
usually if I left the house for a few days I would get nothing but the cat version of "talk to the hand".after I put my stuff down I layed down on the couch where she jumped up on my chest/stomach and went to sleep{again something she has never done before}.

...it seems that ever since I got home she's been keeping a eye on me.she's always near me and now sleeps on the bed :)

This article indicates that this cat that lived in a nursing home could sense when residents were about to pass:

As long as she still loves on Clavin, then we are safe!

Has Moley showed up recently Clavin?  I would be on the lookout!  8)

He let RUDE out of his cage briefly...that seems to be when Clavin had some trouble :(

Exactly,I called out moley and next thing you know,BANG! I'm in the hospital :(
I know better now,I learned the hard way not to mess with moley.

Jane will just sit there and stare at me when I'm laying on the couch.I'm like "I'm not dying ok! your still gonna get dinner"
