my bro lives in Chicago..took this pic lastnight after the f aux hawk hair/wife beater rockin foreigners got down 'crushin' it
cruise in at 5 with no less than 5 to a 'clan'...warm up with no more or less than 135 on bench....then move on to some curls/press of some kind....stare at a few guys/girls then thats the cats ass
no need to re rack...there are 6 people in that gym at that moment!

Yeah, it's great to wander around a gym looking for the pair of db's you need because some douche is too lazy to return them to the rack.
i just grab whatever dumbell I can and adjust the reps and intensity as needed then move on to a machine or barbell......gyms are tough places you cant just walk around crying like a baby.

haha....true, it's survival of the fittest in these places. I once clubbed a guy with a 20lb db just so I could use the squat rack next......chalk to the eyes is useful too.

like I said I just grab and make do and move on...I cant walk around looking for a perfect match of dumbells, If your head gets fucked up by that then your not really focused on your workout. there is no such thing as a perfect set and using the perfect weight at the perfect time, your muscles dont care if the weights are all in a perfect line or not..

It was enforced by the members at the two best gyms I've ever been to. You didn't leave plates on and you returned db's to the rack. I saw vet members call out out abshooters on more than one occasion.

i perosnally dont give a fuck cos my gym is only 50'x30' MAX so wont take a lot of looking.
Plus most people only use them in one small area.

haha, well I am not that bad but I will tell you I cannot be bothered looking for the little numbers on the rack that usually have fallen off, or there is already a dumbell in the spot...meanwhile my fucking hands are killing me...its a major waste of energy...I put them back in a reasonable place and thats that...I dont care if they are back in the "correct' place...they are dumbells they do not have homes.

what are you talking about? I said I don't like to make 2-3 trips around the gym. You can pretty much tell the size of a dumbbell as quick as you can look in the spot its suppose to be. Not that much of a time difference. You must have dumbbell racks hundreds of feet long in your gym or something.

agreed, I put them back in reasonably acceptable location in relation to their original location. There are many factors involved, how messy was it to begin with, did I have to put effort into finding them, how tired am I and who is working the front desk.

well see something like that would equate to me having to make "2-3 trips around the gym" looking for dumbbells. We just go up to 150 and after 70 it goes by 10s, but we have two different sets that go up to 60s by 5. So in your case then yea i could see why having to look for a particular weight can be time consuming.

As long as the Dumbbells are matched and in a decent area, it's not a big deal.

I have often suprised myself , when looking for the 35's which are always missing and then having to use the 40's and doing them successfully....I think chaos is in a rut and probably hasnt progressed out of the 20, 25,30, 35 range in the past two years.

Best is the guy who decided to fuck the dumbell rack, while looking at his 14" guns in the mirror. Step back, there are other people there too.
One great thing about Gold's Gym in Vegas, it's always spotless. 24hr/LVAC, different story. Just a mess. They'll be more concerned with people carrying gym bags or dropping their weights, rather than having their staff/clients racking weights.
If you put 5 plates on, take 5 plates off.

I hate it when they use the standing calf machine that has the stack and then at shoulder level you can put plates on. I hate it when they put the pen about halfway in the stack and then put on tons of 45lb plates.

what is the big deal if they in a near enough approximation to where they should be...they are all moving and switching out anyway, its not like someone is going to take roll call any minute...dumbells come and dumbells go, its the circle of life, ...how rigid should weight lifting be and its not like you're that neat at your house..I have seen your videos on you tube.

In our gym generally everyone puts the dumbells back in their exact places,many of us have been there a long time,myself 7yrs,but even most of the new guys know the score

The university gym I trained at was terible for dumbell racks; nothing was where it should be and when you did find the weight you were looking for, you had to walk up and down the rack in search of the full pair!
Oddly enough, the army gym I use now is pefectly organized with not a single weight out of place . . .

one guy who worked there and was quite a rule enforcer trained at the gym aswell, he never fucking reracked dumbells and broke every rule, ironic when he was the one who was trying to enforce the rules the most (fat old bastard looked like a barrel).

At my gym they're very strict about re racking weights and dumbells and it works, they're always in the right spot. It's a matter of common courtesy, clean your mess up after you.

I agree. But most gym managers today are just worried about selling more memberships, they don't want to confront people, thats uncomfortable business right there. So they hide behind their desks and don't worry about whats going on. In many gyms as I have read here it's up to the members, but that usually takes a special person. And when they confront some twink for curling the 30's right in front of the rack preventing anyone else access to the rack, the twink cries to management and they kick out the bouncer for intimidating members.

Me too. I just grab... no one can put the pairs back together...so I might have 90lbs in one hand and 110lbs in another. I adjust the intensity in each limb and move on. I think it's call the Weider Lopsided Principle.

Just a little common respect for the other guy, and the gym it's self, when racking or stripping a bar. Kind of lost these day's, too bad. Like some guy's are use to their mothers picking up after them, so they just walk away. Wonder if they bother to wipe their asses, or wait for mom to do that also.
With liability insurance so high for gym owner you would think "Return Weight" signs would be all around the place. Trip on a DB or lying plate, tear ligaments, and than sue the owner for whatever he's got, may not be the best outcome for an owner who has invested everything he has, or will have, in his dream of running a gym.
Bones: that is the secret Weider Principle. All Weider MR O's have used that in underground training rooms. Keep it quite...OK.

He was doing mediocre shrugs with 100lb dumbells, I carried on past him and dominated the 150s for an easy 15, no swinging.
The fact is, Croatch dominates most of these juiced up fools. No strength/genetics/or heart...9 times out of 10.
