Yes Spain is lovely although the transit system needs improvement. A means of personal transport is recommended, as in Iceland.

The 250's over there are two stroke. About the same power as a 600 here. My girlfriend has one. Guys ride liter bikes.

Aprillia has a 125 here. The major companies seemed to have phazed out the 2 strokes due to the emissions thing. It's a shame they were really light and had some seriously unpredictable power bands. Not as much hp as the new liter bikes, but scary in a different respect. The old yamaha rz and rd 350's were sick.

Yes I like them. The v-twin motor makes some good torque so the SV's were very good in the twisties. Not the fastest on the top end by any stretch but who really rides that fast anyways? Very good bike for the mountains, canyons or saturday at the track.

What do you think of the upcoming BMW S1000 RR?

I've seen the pics and it's looks better than any BMW that's ever been produced. I'm particularly interested in the fuel injection system they will be using on it. Hope it lives up to the hype.

Word. It's way easier to get chicks with a sweet ride. Some chicks won't get on the back of a bike cause "they knew someone that...." Plus you can drive a nice car year round.
Get the M3 and then a used bike.. Best of both worlds. 05 ZX10 is a beast.... Definately has that holy shit factor.
A couple of years ago I almost gave up riding because I was busy and the bike was collecting dust. I saw this pic and started riding again. Needless to say I recently purchased a new bike. Guy's Living the dream....

My friend has bike, he's into the Buell's (the XB series) :-X. But he won't allow no females on the back of the bike.
That pic is nice (nice ass), but it doesn't look like the States
-
Yeah, I don't know where that was. I saw it on the net and it kept me motivated to ride. Gotta get one of those on the back of my ride. However I think the cops here ticket for that. Same reason they don't let the chicks in thongs sell hot dogs on the side of the road anymore....some shit about causing accidents.
Buells are pretty sweet. I like them because they still aren't that common. At least at the bike nights I've been to here is St. Pete. (or West Palm)
-
Yeah I had a hog once it was pretty sweet! I traded a truck for it straight up!

Go nuts altogether and get yourself a Yamaha RD350. Insane 2 stroke bike. Too fast for its own good.

yup yup, those bikes are very fun. Not a bike that you would like to ride all the time due to the maintenance needed, but if you don't put too many hours on them they are the shit.

I have 2 of em. One is wrecked though from driving it too hard. Great machines - lovely smell of 2 stroke too.

The Aprilia is cool and all and the frame and swingarm in particular are works of art but I'm not sure if it is the best choice for an everyday ride.
2 strokes are not necessarily known as the most durable of motorcycle motors compared to a 4 strokes. On top of that parts for an Aprilia could be a bit pricey, especially for a bike they stopped manufacturing in 2000.
I have owned pretty much everything from the big 4 Japanese manufacturers over the years in terms of their sportbike lineups and I gotta say I find the GSX-Rs from Suzuki hard to beat. Part of that is just my personal preference but in terms of parts availability and ease of working on the Suzukis come out on top IMHO.
Check out any of the rides from the big 4 - and forget about the misconception that the 600cc bikes are only for beginners because the current generation 600s are fierce motorcycles in their own right with scalpel handling.
Currently I am riding a 2007 GSX-R750 with a few performance mods....my last few rides were 1000's (two GSX-Rs and an R1) and tbh I am enjoying the 750 more cuz out on public roads you can tap into much more of the 750s performance than you can a 1000.
Good luck with the bike, if you are stateside and need any parts or gear PM me for a hookup on whatever you need....my best friend owns a parts and apparel business and outsells pretty much anyone online.

Agree, but I like the 08 honda 1Krr. Probably cause I have the bike. So much power on tap. 600s are fun, nimble and way fast enough to get a new rider in trouble. You just have to ride them hard. On my zx6RR I had to ring it out to get it to move really fast. Almost the same as my 05 gsxr 750 but not as much due to the added torque and hp. To make my liter bike go all I have to do is twist the wrist.
