Title: IHT (Intermittent Hypoxic Training)
Post by: Speedbuff on June 06, 2009, 03:47:21 PM
Here an interesting link to a video about hypoxic training.  Apparently, explosive strength athletes
inlcuding sprinter Dwain Chambers are now using this novel training technique. I read another article that said IHT takes about an hour per day for two weeks and then shorter toping off periods of training every couple of weeks.  It is supposed to increase oxygen uptake and help with recovery.

I recently fractured my fibula and part of the rehab was to do hypoxic circuits in the pool... They are horrendous.
