Plasma still far surpasses lcd in almost every aspect.  Viewing angle, blacks, no dead pixels, zero response time, etc.

Depends on if you already have one ;D
First you have to check which video connector is on your notebook (VGA, DVI, or HDMI).
Then you have to check which ones are available on your TV. If the TV is not too old it will have both VGA and HDMI.

If you have VGA on both, just get a VGA cable, you probably already have one.
If it's digital (DVI or HDMI), get an appropriate cable either from DVI to HDMI or HDMI to HDMI depending on what your notebook offers.

I always write it that way to avoid censorship. On some forums they automatically X it out.

To make it easier to identify the different connectors:

This is VGA (analog):

This is DVI (analog or digital):

This is HDMI (digital, compatible with DVI):

The TV will most likely also still have a VGA input. In this case, just take a normal VGA cable (like the one going from a PC to a monitor) and hook them up.

I'm pretty sure you will find one if you keep all the cables that come with monitors.

Terrible advice.  Then his dad won't have any porn to jerk off to and Web will wind up splitting his inheritance with some pencil neck.
