The entire RTB series is much more than a "sets-and-reps" workout video. As any bodybuilding DVD must have, there is the inspiring gym footage, but more than that, Raising the Bar is an exploration of the toll that competitive bodybuilding can take on the lives of the athletes and the lives of those around them.
After the surprising and unexpected success of the RTB 1 & 2 what else could we do but tell the rest of the story?
RTB3 continues the journey begun in 2004 and follows Dave Pulcinella as he makes his last, all-out attempt at pro status and at the same time tries to fix his crumbling relationship with his girlfriend, figure competitor Jenn Emig.

When's RTB3 going to be available? I'd rather just watch the whole thing rather than a dozen trailers. Also, are you ever going to film a documentary on bodybuilding schmoes? Now that would be entertaiment! LOL! ;D

thats incorrect.....its a very selfish lifestyle if one is a bodybuilder and the other is normal........if you are both part of that world, it tends to work better. to a normal person, all the meals, missed nights out, gymtime, chemicals, naps.....might seem bizarre, but if your also a bodybuilder, it makes sense

RTB 3 is going to be good, i also enjoyed RTB 1 and 2 also. daves a no bullshit type guy, hes not going to do or say things in his RTB documenteries just to make it more dramatic. hes one of the most honest and down to earth guys i know, and no, hes not givin me free protien bars at our gym for me to say these things ;D

I liked RTB #2 (if you guys remember I was harshly critical at first. Dude actually sent me a free copy, which I still have, and it was very good.) I however would not be interested in seeing this. We know how selfish bbing is, and it's a given that it's tough as fuck to keep a relationship. I was never able to. Good luck though.

You make a good point Mike. But RTB3 is about so much more than just this one aspect.
There is a lot of good bodybuilding info on there as well and some inspiring workout sequences. Keep an eye out. I'll be posting more teasers and clips that'll give you a more well-rounded view of RTB3. You can still choose to pass it by of course, but at least you will know what it's all about.

There's almost no story line or narrative.
It's like watching a Cutler training DVD, only you're watching an average gym rat with shocking form

Have you seen the documentary by Louis Therox? You should it focus's on BBing schmoes for the females a fair bit.

INTERNET REVIEW:
RTB1 and RTB2 were abysmal failures.
They were poorly edited and supported by uninspiring and deluded characters.
These so-called doco's basically ignored the realities of the sport; obscene drug abuse, the dealers, corruption, thong wearing, oil, latent homosexuality and the schmoes.
The 'dumb-ass-gym-rat' seen in both doco's was a total retard; uninspiring, massive insecurities who came across as uneducated -essentially someone that women would find overtly repulsive!
If RTB3 is anything like its predecessors, it will be just another abortion waiting to be flushed down the toilet!

You can post as many negative critiques as you want, but just to set the record straight.
- RTB1 & 2 sold as many copies as some pro DVDs. It has been called "the new pumping iron for this generation".
- I defy you to find anything in the bodybuilding world as tightly edited. Judge for yourself. New clips are coming soon.
- I didn't want to focus on the negative. That's a filmmaker's perogative.
- That dumb-ass gym rat gets more pussy than anyone I know.

you know whats really funny about that trailer......it has the 'heartfelt' music, and self-important overly-melodramatic subtitles of some stupid cookie-cutter romantic drama hollywood drivel that actors like pierce brosnan and sandra bullock would star in when they just want to make some money.......but the people in it are these totally vapid, average, selfish, and unengaging bodybuilder types who you have absolutely no emotional investment in and whose "goals" are compleatly meaningless..........all its missing is the voice-over by the guy you hear doing almost all movie trailers.

We haven't started shipping RTB3 yet. There's no way you could have watched it unless you got a preview copy. How could you possibly know if it has a narrative?

lol!!! ok, "boost". you really know what youre talking about. first off, rtb3 hasnt even been released yet so theres no way you even have a copy. secondly, ive won countless local and state overall titles and 4 national titles, douchebag!! do a little homework before you start spouting bullshit!
lastly, i get more pussy in one week than you do in a decade, im sure of that! my dvds show 1 of my relationships failing. guess youve never had a girl leave you before, huh?
