why cant we all come to an agreement upon this?
lets think for instance in athletics
if you have a sprinter a basketball player and a bodybuilder all trying to increase muscle mass and reduce bodyfat FIRST AND FORMOST is the main goals,=thus alowing any shortcomings in the following areas to be diminished if the aformentioned is qualified (increased muscle mass/reduced bodyfat and the post attributes wi increase flexibilty, endurance, agility, coordination pertaining to sport are SECONDLY CRUCIAL
wouldnt the idea of "the more training is better principle" hold true for all these things
lets face it sports are not a one rep max neither is bodybuilding and that is a flawed focus among man hit'ers, because hit doesnt cover endurance flexibiltiy, agility and coordination wich needs tons of practice to master.
and yes the more is better principle like hitting a punching bag and getting bio feed back, that the more times you hit you may not hit stronger for years and you may contrary dependent on dietary factors mainly and thats it, someone can hit a punching bag on a hit routine and make consistent gains and they may not, . but wich route do you think is faster to gains in all areas obviously?
and as a Bodybuilder you wish to be BEST at all things? thus one should strive to train as densley as possible and work on everything

thats what HIT is fore,,but alot of fellas dont want to do HIT because its too hard to do its like the more is better deal in life,,the longer you work the more money you make,,,the bigger house hyou have the more you can fill it up more cars more choices to drive,,its a hard habit to break falcon like I said before if you could stress your muscles in on complete negative failture set then why go and do 10 sets that are ALL NON FAILURES to do the same thing??? I cant provide a formula to be a specific muscle amount,,,but I can provide a formula on how NOT,,to build muscule
oh yes people always bring up the sprinter,,what people faile to realize is that that the sprinter is stressing all his muscles to the max with a specific time period its not just about the time he spent sprinting the 10 secs its his MAXIMAL STRESS ON MUSCLE under that time that makes his muscle grow,,,a basketball does not stress his muscles maximlal enough to gain in size,,if the sprinter does not stress maxmial force for 10 secs in his sprint he will not grow so its not just about time,,,but stress upon the muscle has to be truely exhausted

intensity is the key
I could box for 3 hours and work a sweat up but 1 hour is more productive, the longer duration the less intense the workout is going to be.

Personally I believe in "more is better" My work outs are always 2-3 hours! Thats my norm yo! Always how I've done it!b

then whats wrong with 3 to 4 hours,,,
many of us have not attained this ability, that is why
training that long would be considered elite if you are still throwing around weights over 100 pounds
and probably by the point in your training career if you are training that long you probably get by with little sleep because you are a master
