I'm taking the Decide route from now on: Fat people have bad genetics and you don't want fat kids with health problems.
Fat chicks have ever only been good for three things: A place to crash, food and the occasional booty call when nothing good is available.

Genetics are very important. Just have kids with an alcoholic, schizophrenic, diabetic, fattie or dumbass if you really want to test this theory. :)
Also, back in the day people basically felt fat people should at least be pleasant because they were at a social disadvantage. Now fat people are a bigger pain in the butt than anyone and it's the prettier women with self esteem issues.
Guys should always go for the pretty, skinny chicks in bars if they've been on a losing streak.

Besides, it'd be pretty difficult to deny that our social perceptions of, and implications of body habitus on self-esteem have changed drastically over the past 20 years.
Also, I sincerely felt Migs needed the advice. :)

he's a really cool dood...even though he tries to push my buttons...but thats what friends do! :)

doc by that account...i'm a former..serious alcoholic (i mean a gallon of scotch / day kinda alcoholic) and ws a serious cokehead..not to mention all the extacy...acid...i did

Children of people with conditions like that have a 25-50% chance to inherit some addiction problem or personality prone to addiction. That's if they have kids with a person that has no addiction! Double that stat if the baby mama has any addiction issues.
Genetics play a huge role in certain diseases. Alcoholics, for example, don't stop being what they are after quitting or deciding to drink less. Their genetics don't change.

all them drugs and i still aced most of the classes in college...some of em upper level physics..the ones i didn't Ace i straight up failed cause i ws passed out in a car/dormroom someplace or ws shaking too badly from the blow to go....now i teach people that have been in the IT field for 15 to 20 yrs and i've been doing this for 6ish...all in all...i'm betting on my intelligence

You're deflecting the point. If intelligence mattered more than genetics... smart people wouldn't consistently engage in destructive behavior. I'd say to ask "What could someone that smart have done sober?". Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin and tons of other far more gifted people than us have been destroyed by their addictions.
You're "it's alright to be a really smart drunk/druggie/overeater/slut/etc.. because their intelligence can still help society" argument is BS flawed. There always come a point where addiction will ruin their life unless the behavior is stopped. It reads more like a crutch than a logical argument. Sort of like when people say: "he/she is just a baby and doesn't know that's wrong".

There always come a point where addiction will ruin their life unless the behavior is stopped. It reads more like a crutch than a logical argument. Sort of like when people say: "he/she is just a baby and doesn't know that's wrong".

you named a few famous smart people that ruined their lives thru addiction..but there r millions more non famous ones that over came..
also..i think being smart leaves one open to boredome...i used to drink a lot...now i read a lot...i exchanged my negative addictive behaviour to a positive one :)

Usually is the operative word. Someone capable of "logically work out their addictive personalities and stop such behaviour...cause..well. .they r smart.." would never be doing (insert stupid thing) if they were thinking properly from the start or had the sheer will to impose logic upon themselves.
It's probably easier (in some ways) for a nitwit to break an addiction. They lack the ability to rationalize bad behaviors. :)

i also skydive Doc...i still love alcohol...i happen to love my brain better..its fun for me to solve problems upon seeing em...i can "see/taste" the answer , and watching others struggle for hours
