Anyone else pick this up? I had forgotten how good Savage was at bringing the heat down on himself. Not only were his moves great, but his heel tactics were fantastic! Of course, I could watch him and Steamboat all day long- totally stole the show at WM3, and that was a fantastic show.

i heard he declined to be part of the Dvd due money issues :-\

I never saw this dvd yet although I plan to buy it.

With all the apparent bad blood between he and McMahon, I was glad it got released at all.

Out of all the WWE former talent, Savage was the only one who was shrud about his business deals. He made his cash and still kept respect of the public. I respect Savage for it and Vince is only bitter at him because he looked out for his best interests which is what any normal human being would do.

Savage had sex with one of the McMahon women....guess who

That's a crock and it never happened. McMahon hates Savage because Savage left his organization for a much more lucrative deal with WCW and he took the Slim Jim advertisments with him. Savage is a smart business man. You notice of all the wrestling stars, present and former, Savage was the only one who never lost respect of the public, kept his nose clean and made a TON of $$$.

It would have been a historic fued Savage vs. Undertaker. I saw Savage vs. Warrior in a steel cage in MSG. Savage jumped off the top. Warrior gorilla pressed Sherri. The place was going nuts! Imagine Savage vs. Taker Hell in the Cell. It's sad that fued never happened.
I remember watching that match on the MSG channel on our old satellite dish! We had wanted to see Warrior press slam Sherri for months, and got the payoff here. Didn't he walk over her while she was down, as well? I was always disappointed they never did that on mainstream TV, but that match was great! Only in New York, I guess.

Savage was always a top star, no doubt. With or without Liz, he wa always making 1 mill + per year. But damn, I really miss those hot pics of Liz. She was really beautiful. Her death kind of makes you wonder WTF happened? How would a kind, gorgeous woman like her get mixed up in the rec drug & alcohol abuse??? Just goes to show you though, $$$ gets to everyones head.

I’ve touched upon this before, and it’s only speculation – but I think Liz lead an extremely sheltered life with Macho.
When she was finally free of it, well…think of it as how some kids behave when they finally go away to college – only Liz was involved in/had access to more serious stuff.
Don't forget that Luger was no saint back then, either.
Liz now had an all access pass to a wilder life – a life she’d never experienced – and, like a lot of people, she O.D.’d (no pun intended) on it.
Maybe she was overprotected with Savage, but at least she was safe(r) from the kind of stuff that ultimately did her in.

I loved when he dropped the bell on Steamboats throat.

And the “foreign” object he hit Tito Santanna with to win the IC belt with heel referee Danny Davis.
I also loved the feud with George Steele, when Animal would come to the ring and kidnap/carry Liz to the back. Then Macho would freak out when he discovered what’d happened.

I still have that Saturday Night's Main Event (Savage/Steel) on vhs that I taped back in 1986 when I was only 11 years old. Man does time fly by!
