ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says she'd come out ahead if she went one-on-one with fellow jogger President Barack Obama in a long run, according to an interview published online Tuesday.
"I betcha I'd have more endurance," she told Runner's World magazine. "My one claim to fame in my own little internal running circle is a sub-four marathon. What I lacked in physical strength or skill, I made up for in determination and endurance."
Palin, a 45-year-old former beauty queen who became the first woman and youngest person to be elected Alaska's governor, is featured in the August issue of the magazine for jogging aficionados. She was dubbed the country's "hottest" governor when she stole the show as U.S. Sen. John McCain's presidential running mate in 2008.

1. Hire a speech coach.
2. Hammer the reckless policies of Obama at every chance.
3. Study up on national issues and emphasize her energy and fiscal accomplishments.
4. Provide alternative policies.
If she does not do these things, she is DOA.

Unemployment in Illinois is at a 25-year high, with the statewide rate climbing to 10.1 percent in May from 9.4 percent in April.
According to data released Thursday by the Illinois Department of Employment Security, total non-farm payrolls dropped by 17,400 jobs in May. This marked the eighth straight month of job losses, though the agency noted that the pace of losses is easing. There are now 671,400 unemployed people in Illinois, the biggest number since June 1983. The state has lost 290,800 jobs since the beginning of the recession.
The hardest-hit industry in May was manufacturing, which shed 9,500 workers. The trade, transportation and utilities sector lost 5,300 jobs and the government sector shrunk by 2,900. The leisure and hospitality industry, which is gearing up for summer, added 6,900 jobs in May but has lost 13,700 jobs in the previous year.
“The next phase [of the recession] likely will include a slowdown in job loss coupled with further increases in the unemployment rate,” IDES director Maureen O’Donnell said in a statement.

Exactly my point, but he is working. I think that alaska probably has far more opportunities for people without a college degree than IL do. i think the kid works for an electrician or something. Exactly my point, but he is working. I think that alaska probably has far more opportunities for people without a college degree than IL do. i think the kid works for an electrician or something. He can try to make Palin wear the election, but any reasonable person will see that he led a campaign that saw the Democrats reach a super majority and the only person that brought anything to the table to counter it was Palin.

It is surprising to me that McCain did as well as he did after canceling his campaign during the Lehman brothers debacle.
