Title: Is the 'Palin for President' chatter a conspiracy to get Obama re-elected?
Post by: Tre on July 04, 2009, 03:19:00 PM

Or is it intended to spur the Republican heavy hitters to come up with a decent candidate this time around?

Isn't Mitt Romney the presumed front-runner at this point?

Of course its a distraction...The guys beyond the curtain supposedly put 100's of millions of dollars in bets with each other on how much support she would get from the "sheep"...The joke has always been on us...

he had all these things in 2008.

he and rudy spent 8 months calling each other libs.  Everywhere Mitt campaigned, his numbers fell.  He actually did best in the places he avoided.  He's not a 'people person'.  He's surely the smartest economist in the group besides Ron Paul.  But until he can connect with people, guys like mccain will win.

Mccain was old, cancer 4 times, confused at times, an adulterer, had pisseed off the Gop establishment - but he won the nomination because people LIKED HIM.  Mitt doesn't have that, and maybe never will.  He doesn't like to be around people, he likes to be around business.  People (stupidly) elect the guy they want to have a beer with.

So I guess people were hoping to have a 40oz of Old English, a pint of Brass Monkey while watching Good Times or Whats Happening?

If Obama does not turn out to be what people wanted him to be....they will not care about the 'people person' aspect and will go with an astute businessman.

Well, I could say Obama was a coke head, but who cares? we all have indescretions. Again...its true, people like to be near/do business with those they like...however, again, if Obama fails....they will go Romney

I'm saying Romney won't be the one to emerge from the repub nomination process.  Huckabee or an unknown, far more personable in debates and with people, will likely take it.

Romney had everything in his corner in 2008, and just fell apart, letting mccain sneak in

'Neutron Jack?' How about throw in 'chainsaw' Al Dunlop as VP while we're at it. No half measures, now. Can you imagine? Half of America's workers getting their pink slips in the mail.  ;D

More people than ever in America's history are starting their own businesses.

I'd like to see the spineless liberal media concentrate on that.

And Neuton man kicked ass and got things DONE.

Just bc you are a worker does not mean you are a productive or good one.

Survival of the fittest.
