no its not a worthwhile persuit in so far that it cant reveal any hidden truths about you or the world around you....(gawd<lackthere of> i hate sounding like this)...the world around you is merely a sounding board...off of which ya develop...

however..it sure is fun sometimes to engage in these debates..soo it has entertainment value..

I don't know if it was just nerves, but you're doing a WHOLE lot of rambling. As we say in church, "MAKE IT PLAIN!!"

What's the inquiry here?

Is it worthwhile to actively proclaim that there is no God?

Is it worthwhile to actively work for a godless society?

I've heard folks like Bill Maher suggest that only when religion is gone can man "move forward", to which I've asked "move forward to what"?

What is the end goal here? What is it that you, Maher, or any atheists of your ilk wish to accomplish and why can that objective NOT be met, as long as the overwhelming number of people on Earth believe in a Supreme Being?
