Title: Most overlooked pro of today
Post by: saucetradomous on July 05, 2009, 11:56:54 AM
I'm going to have to give this one to Troy Alves.  Dude is thick and aesthetically built.  Just never gets top honors.

Agree. Troy, if anything, is overrated - nothing special to look at and gets lost in most call outs cause he gets overshadowed by guys who are bigger and in better shape.

ya i think troy has the best taper in the biz, i saw him at the emerald cup and told him that, he gave me a big thanks and his face lit up,  pro bb is becoming a joke, so many great guys out their that look far better than most these bloat monsters. the judging really needs to change, the sport is getting worse and worse.

i think branch has been screwed alot, he might not have the most pleasing lines ever, but no one comes in with more freaky-dense conditioned muscle then him

I was thinking about Troy before even clicking the thread.

On the money as usual Mansaucetradomus. ...

Troy's physique = more overlooked than the 9/11 threat + titanic iceberg put together.

most pro of today seems overlooked, no real "charism", if you watch lot of recent boring video, you just see people with no enthousiasm in the gym, seems like an obligation to train and eat.

Branch is nowhere near aesthetically pleasing.  Dudes blood pressure is off the scales, He's beat red all the time.  I think that beanie is sutured to his head too tightly.  He is freaky, I'll give him that.

Ronnie Rockel has won a pro show.  Troy I believe has won nothing as an Ifbb competitor.  This is why I believe he is more overlooked.

i think troy will probably be getting much better callouts nowdays.

he reminds me of tony freeman 3-4 years ago.  underrated and over looked..finally comes in diced and places well, then starts egting recognition he deserves.

lets hope troy starts to get soem fair callouts.

X2. especially considering where he was 4 years ago. His back is sick, probably one of the best right now.

Agreed. But also Armin isn't consistent with his "symmetry".. however arms are nothing short of perfect...

Agreed 100 times over, DH @ 280 would destroy Coleman in his prime, too bad DH didnt start GH at 15  ;)

No joke = a friend of mine took GH at 19 and went from 6' to 6'3" in about 5 months  :-\ ... so you're not too far from the truth..

Theres no possible way DH would ever get to that point.  He only competes at what, 200lbs?  if he got to 220lbs that would probably be enough to get into the top 3 at the olympia.
