Chuck Liddell told SI.com that he will not be fighting again until after April 2010. Liddell lost 4 of his past 5 fights and believes that he needs to take some time off to let his brain heal from all the shots he's taken to the head.
Here is what Liddell told SI.com about resting his head:
"Hopefully my brain can heal over time. The shot last fight is something that normally wouldn't hurt me. I think I need at least some time off from getting hit. I'm going to take time off sparring then. I'll train still. Still gonna roll. I'll probably do a little more jiu-jitsu than normal because I like it. It's fun."

one of the smartest things he's said in a bit. It's good to see that he see's he need time to recoup.

i think chucks just tired of fighting period. when your winning all the time you never really get tired of something, but when you start losing alot you can get tired of something quickly. fightings like gambling, you play alot if your winning, but once you start losing try to get out while your ahead

If neurones have been killed, no amount of rest will help them heal...

yea an over the hill ageing fighter should wait till he's a year&half older before he fights again.please...stick a fork in um he's done.

The brain can grow new brain cells.
But whether this can help Chucky = another question.

It might be so that the (improvement in his brain from not getting punched for a while) > (age related decline). If so, the break is worth it.

I cant really figure out why he still wants to fight? Everyone knows he was the shit... I guess some athletes just have a hard time letting go

I'd like to see chuck/Franklin at a catch weight of 195 or even 205.
