Whenever I hear about it, it is if it is an accepted part of the routine of competition.
It's always the flight, the food, the travel...
What is it really? Are they really bad sick or just not feeling 100%? I know the dehydration, low carbs, Clen, T-3, the anabolics.. all that--maybe a little Ambien, maybe pain killers and who-knows-what...
What I want to know though; is there a predominant routine "sickness" that these guys get before or during a show?
If you don't have a serious answer, just come over to my place and I'll let you clean the dogshit up from my backyard.

Rec drugs needed to lose weight?
When your BF gets that low near a comp. it's much easier to get sick as your immune system isn't as strong.
-
well obviously it is often used as a fallback excuse when a competitor fails to show up in top form on the day of the competition.........e.g. .."my olympia prep was going great until i caught the flu 3 weeks out, and i lost 12 pounds from not being able to hold any food."
but it is proven that being extremly lean, liek below 4 or 5% bodyfat, is very compromising to the autoimmune system, you body does not have the necessary strength to fight off illness and infection.

Food poisoning.

its from all the cock protein they injest when in top condition in order to be able to further career and insure placings -- only done at showtime thus upping risk for contracting 'the sickness'
:P

I forgot about that one. That's another popular one. How is this so common?

I know one pro. He would not really get sick, but he needs to eat every 2 hours. He will seriously get "sick" if he cannot eat on time (not ever seen it happen, but I suspect he might faint or get very moody).

Everyone on getbig either is a pro or knows one ::)

Health is overrated anyway.....

I'm sure many guys have that here. I have that. I experience reduced ability to think clearly and my mood goes very dark. As I'm not atall depressive, I find it is easy to spot. I recently caught myself before idly thinking "I should just throw myself off this balcony", realising this, ate and then 20 mins later, carbed up, laughed about how ridiculous that is.
It's a bit of a drag, but if you suffer it, you get the warnings signs and you deal with it.

I don't think that is a normal thought when you are hungry :-\

SB--please do not insinuate that that Chick was caught looking at a thread entitled "Pictures of my erect penis".
-

It is a common to think similarly negative when you're sick, though. Hence, the point that some people almost seem "sick" when they are hungry.

Easy question to answer....
Your immune system is at its most vulnerable as you approach a contest...12 weeks + of dieting, cardio, low fat content, and beating yourself into the ground with workouts all lend to a surpressed Immune.
Add that into the host of regular reasons anyone gets sick...and it's not to tough to figure out.
That said...people tend to only focus in on the few shows an athlete happened to be sick, while the reality is, most have been sick/ ill for very few
-

There is no reason to ask if you're homosexual
-
There is no reason to ask if you're homosexual
good to see you keeping your 80% of daily posts containing the subject/word homosexual(s) ratio ;D

Sounds logical. I guess I had the ol' "conspiracy theory' goin... I thought maybe it was one particular drug that was really tough to handle during extensive travel. My guess was insulin... or maybe over-loading to enter another country before you got the "hookup"
I have never been in that kind of condition..(obviously)
7% is the lowest bodyfat I've ever had-- and I wasn't entirely "natural"
The interview in the "videos" section with Mousawi (spellcheck) - he makes it sound so routine. Mark Dugdale got really sick goin to Dorian's gym in the UK. So many claim "food poisoning" ...
I was just curious. I guess there are many variables to the answer, but I suppose I was suspecting some sort of "recurring theme"
-
Why do the Pro BB's always get "sick?"
Pathetic amount of drug use which destroys their immune systems and organs, specifically the liver and kidneys.
