Well Gallup has him on 61% which is 3 points higher than his share of the vote in the national election...
so...the conclusion...not a hell of a lot

Wait till those shills in the media who make a fortune get their tax hikes. their tune will quickly change.

polls are only reliable when we agree with their findings.

Rasmussen is on of the best polls. It only polls voters! That takes a large percentages of the band wagon riders and minority cheerleaders (who don't know shit about government) - out of the equation.

But the group "actual voters" didn't matter as much in 2008. People who had never voted were lining up for 2 miles in Atlanta to vote Obama. They didn't have landlines and had never voted before, so they didn't exist to ram.
They're a solid org... my belief is that when any polling org applies their own standards to who will vote and who won't, they're not gonne be accurate

they're one of the worst... Rasmussen sucks. I wish his approval would drop. He hasn't done jack shit. nothing has changed for the better.

Wouldn't Rasmussen include those new voters in their most recent polls? They only poll voters correct?

Jay Severin swears by them. That = credibility for me personally. I think it's a good poll.

Obama is going to get a good rep from a certian segment no matter what because he is the savior of the low-class.
-
Where is the 61% approval rating reported? Is that from July? I'll bet he is lower than that now. He's been in office 6 months and there is no significantly improvement in the economy, and he is creating major problems for this country's economy going forward. His erroneous prediction on unemployment rates not going over 8% with the stimulus is going to be coupled by another poor prediction on the growth of the economy over the 2 yr period since his election in Jan.
-
Not shocking to me that Rasmussen of all the recent polls is way off the mark of other polls. The disaproval rating higher than all others by far. Best idea is to look at the average of polls, not just Rasmussen, you're not going to get a good idea just looking at them alone. Especially when they so often and abruptly jump from the averages.
Gallup 7/5 - 7/7 1547 A 56 36 +20
Rasmussen Reports 7/2 - 7/7 1500 LV 52 48 +4
Quinnipiac 6/23 - 6/29 3063 RV 57 33 +24
CNN/Opinion Research 6/26 - 6/28 1026 A 61 37 +24

You know what Hugo, the sad reality is that many people are just not even paying attention to what is going on. Even in my business group only a small percentage knew about Cap & Trade, let alone the other nonsense we discuss over here.
-
Thats the part that bothers me the most too 33386. Most people aren't paying attention to the massive socialist type changes this administration is attempting to set forth. Its almost like these people have already decided they like Obama and are letting him carry out his agenda without looking at the actual policies. Who the f-ck besides strong environmentalists want cap & trade/tax?!?!

He is close to shedding votes.....

nope check replies in thread already about rasmussen,,,240 has echoed my sentiments already

Actually, they DID do A LOT better. Just not near good enough to be acceptable. Lets have some perspective here.

not so much in my eyes, bush did a number of things i didnt like of course it wasnt as bad as it is now but im sure if bush was in the situation barry is in now there would be a whole lot of shit i would be bitching about then as well...
An "F" is an "F" you can take solice in the fact that one got a higher "F" but fact is its still a failing grade and thats unacceptible.

GETTING WORSE BY THE DAY:
-
And now his overall aproval rating is down to 51% - his lowest ever and lower than the percentage that voted for him. 48% now disapprove. If this continues, he's going to have to drop this whole healthcare overhaul and cap and trade conversation - which is a good thing. I think its possible that the voters are trying to tell him - "Stop putting so much on your plate with healthcare and cap and trade and just get the economy back on track" . I think what is really causing people to come around is that we are approaching a 10% unemployment rate and Obama and the Democrats are talking about curbing coal emmissions to stop global warming.
-
I don't think this is fake like someone wrote.
But the most interesting are those who approve and disapprove.
Not STRONGLY either or.
However, this poll will tell us one thing.
The extremely strong support that Obama had, the group of people that supported him strongly, are smaller.
And the group that dislikes him has grown.
The question is if the dislike is tilting towards hatred? :-\

People I speak to are very angry over the polcies he is pushing. They are barely making it now and wondering why is pushing all these programs that are going to tax them more all while the economy is getting worse.
Addtionally, the stimulus bill which he scared everyone into voting for is a failure already.

You have to start with why did people so strongly support Obama in the first place, they listened to his speaches where he was extemely vauge on just about everything he promised, but they didn't hear what he was saying.
Everything he is doing, all the information that makes up what Obama thinks is out there in his books in his radio interviews and in the people he associated with, but no one wanted to really examine that. Lets be brutally honest here if a white candidate had as many skeletons in their closet as Obama they would have never even won a primary.
I live in Illinois and the guy he was running against for the senate seat would have destroyed him accept for a scandal where his private divorce records were leaked, hmmmm strange. Or when Obama was running for the state legislature, he pulled some underhanded shit to get real competition removed from the ballot. He is part of chicago political machine, I know how fucked up this state is and expected no less when they moved the chicago stooges to Washington.
So people listened but they didn't hear what Obama was saying, no they are going hey wait a minute what the fuck is he doing? Well the information was there they just chose to ignore it and now its coming back to bite them in the ass.

I didn't say it was fake, I said it's way off the mark from all the other polls taken over the last month on realclearpolitics.com. They often are. I just think it's better to look at the average of polls than it is to take the poll furthest from that average as a realistic Representative of approval/disapproval. Kind of a no brainer. I mean each one of us could run out and find the specific poll that gives the numbers we want to see. What's the point of doing that?
-

I totally agree, many on here said that if he was white he wouldnt have even had a chance and I totally agree. I also agree that a lot of ppl didnt listen to his speeches but simply got caught up in the whole hope and change BULL SHIT If you looked at his record and actually listened to and were able to decipher his double speak you saw this coming, Ill be honest even I didnt think it would be this bad though...

Some of my friends are now asking me stuff like:
"How did you know he was going to push these cray things?"
"How did you know he was this extreme to the left?"
"Where is this going"
"Why werent we told?"
My answer is always the same -
"Shut ESPN off and turn on CNBC & Bloomberg"
"Put down SI and pick up the WSJ"
-
Ill be honest even I didnt think it would be this bad though...
I told people back from the second primary debate that he would be a disaster if he believed half the things he said, and not even I thought he would be THIS bad. I thought he would atleast have enough sense not to push through a trillion dollar stimulus package after we had just bailed out Wall Street with 700 billion.
