$1,000 Fine For Not Getting Health Insurance Wrong
The Senate is now debating a bill that would fine Americans $1,000 a year or more if they refuse to subscribe to supposedly affordable health insurance. What bothers me about this is that we're supposed to have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Where is the liberty here? Many people do not believe in this modern medical establishment with expensive treatments full of side effects, and believe in using herbs, homeopathy or other natural treatments instead. Why should we have to pay for this medical insurance that we neither want or need? This would be taxation without representation. Contact your senators and tell them you want them to represent YOU for a change and stop this unconstitutional lunacy.

If you work for an employer you probably will have it deducted from your pay.
If you work for yourself, maybe you pay when you file?
Who knows.

Didn't Obama criticize Hilary in the primaries saying her healthcare plan was mandatory and came with penalties for non participants? When did he change his tune, ...or is this a bureaucratic creation destined to be vetoed?

There is a big difference as well. No one forces you to drive a car.
