Well its better than Keith Olberman...man is he fuckin boring. Basically i try to see both sides. I consider myself first an AMERICAN...not black not puerto rican...im an american so i like to be well rounded when it comes to the view points of influentual and prominent political reporters. So i listen to Rush and Savage as well as Olberman and Maddow, Rhodes..etc...I just dont listen to proven idiots like Sean Hannity. He just dosent present a good argument and he lives to morph. And no facts..

Good question. I am inclined to say yes but with a caveat. Amnesty for all current illegal immigrants (because lets be honest you are not going to get rid of them in their current state so register and tax them like any other citizen) Once that period of amnesty ends any and all companies caught with illegal immigrant workers are to be fined in order to pay for the expense of deportation and upkeep of border control. Anyone caught with an illegal immigrant in their home will be subject to the cost of deporting that person home. Perhaps that will stop the mass employment illegals and therefore stop the flow of illegals because without work there is no reason to be here.

This is certainly not absolute. The amount of money a physician makes is absolutely not proportional to their skill. Most general physicians make $120-$150K per year. While that is a good living, it is not a ton of money. Moreover, physician salaries have not increased to offset regular inflation & cost of living. Physician salaries have dropped in comparison with other jobs and have not kept up with inflation. In the meantime, education costs and length of training has increased and physicians typically do more than they have in the past (see more patients, more paperwork, etc). When you guys think of doctors, many of you think of surgeons and high level specialists who do make a lot of $ (and probably deserve it)...that is not the majority of docs.
Nationalized healthcare will affect all private practice doctors negatively from what I have read. Your income will drop and you will now be foreced to accept lower reimbursements at the medicaid standard. Additionally, you will now be forced to see more patients for the same income as well as increase your exposure to med mal cases.
Obama truly is one of the dumbest "educated" presidents we have ever had. For this fool not to understand that your med mal insurance will go up due to the many new claims that will come as a result of this is either dishonesty or incredible ignorance at its worst.

This is what I have seen more and more. Its not the NIP TUCK life the general public think it is. Its not that at all. After my loans, if i do what i really want to do which is pediatrics or internal medicine, i wont be rich at all. I could work on wall street and have more earning potential, but thats not my expertise. Im alright with that. Im single with no kids, god willing, if everthing goes as planned I will have a comfortable life. I used to want to be dumb rich...im talkin about star island miami rich...but for doing something i love i think ill be right

Not quite. Getting reimbursement for doctors/nurses in places with socialized medicine is lower than it is in the U.S. And Shoot1 is correct, when we think of doctors we are usually thinking of surgeons etc, not the ones who own a family practice, local practice, small practice etc....these doctor don't make a ton of money either and I bet they are super pumped when they will make even less.
And my comment about student loans for school still stands, as it was not challenged. Doctors and the like rack up HUGE debt, gigantic debt to get through med school as it is a huge and long term adventure. What happens IF people don't see it as a way to make a good living or they stop seeing it as being "worth it" ? What happens then.
You can't simply call people fear mongers and then hide behind platitudes and interference. I am raising actual important questions, answer them if you want, disprove them if you can. If you can then I will stand corrected and admit it. If you can't or simply don't want to then you can shut the fuck up.

4 Years of not working - $200k (Assuminig 50k per year out of college)
