Are the participants drug tested?  If so, what protocol will they use?

THIS IS IFBB SHOW MY FRIEND AND AS YOU KNOW IFBB ALWAYS HIDE, AND VIOLATE THE DOPING. THERE WILL DRUGS TEST, AND IT MAY RANDOM.  TOP 3 IN EACH CATEGORY MUST BE TESTED AS PER THE WADA ANTI-DOPING RULES. I THING WADA WILL BE THERE TO SUPERVISE THE DOPING.

Interesting to see if the usual countries countries will be able to buy off the WADA judges.

TO MY KNOWLEDGE, COUNTRIES CAN BUY IFBB JUDGES VERY EASY AS QATAR DID, BUT TO BUY THE WADA I THING IT IS VERY DIFFICULT.

I know, beating a dead horse.

http://www.worldgames2009.tw/wg2009/eng/sports.php?sn=24

"With the formation of the International Federation of BodyBuilders (IFBB) in 1946, by brothers Joe and Ben Weider, modern bodybuilding was born."

The Weiders didn't start using the name IFBB until 1948, and didn't really start having regular contests until 1959.  The first 'international congress' was in 1964.  But they didn't incorporate and become a legal entity until 1969.

Mr Britain goes back to 1930, Mr America 1939.   Those were the birth of modern bodybuilding.

BREAKING NEWS FROM WORLD GAMES

THE NEWS I RECEIVED TODAY. PLEASE SEE THE BELOW;

Dear Bodybuilding Enthusiasts

We should support the World Games because it is a sporting organization assisting non-Olympic sportsmen to gather and participate.  We salute IWGF and the Kaohsiung World Organizing Committee for doing a great job in hosting the 2009 World Games in Taiwan.

But we strongly detest the IFBB's system in selecting the team of bodybuilders to represent at the Games.  It was politics.  Second stringers' athletes from India were being fielded to help the "ibbf" unrecognized Indian Team  under More and his group affiliated to the IFBB to compete.  A SHAM for sure.

The BREAKING NEWS is:

a) MALAYSIA did not send their athlete because they felt insulted when the IFBB tried to cover the Doping incident of Jose from Brazil from the last World Bodybuilding Championships held in Manama, Bahrain;  If the IFBB can cheat doping ..What about the results, athletes do not trust them!!!! MALAYSIA support the ABBF 100% and sending a strong team to Pattaya, Thailand for the Asian Championships

b) CHINA also abstained in sending their athletes.  No reasons were given.

c) WOW... Heard rumors that Egypt sent only 1 athlete because 8 were either positive on drugs or they were afraid of the target testing by WADA.  They will fail the test.  At the IFBB competitions, the EGYPTIAN BODYBUILDERS are treated like the Pharaohs and the IFBB willingly consented to their request  at the last Congress in Manama that only  one from the top 3 will be tested for dope testing and 1 or 2 athletes will be picked from the 4th - 6th placing.  Why? Because the Egyptians are all on drugs and they will surely win the top 3 spots and by testing only one from the top 3,  they could  escape dope testing and win the Team Championships trophy.  Rafael allowed this system  to help Egypt.  Is this a fair game? You JUDGE.

Now through the folly of Rafael, Maurico and William, they blundered and deprived many other athletes from participating in the World Games.    This favoritism game of the IFBB must be checked and the IFBB should be questioned for all these nonsense.

That is my thoughts as well.  Question for you--do you think some countries did not field teams because of the fear that the WADA judges could not be corrupted and their team members would test dirty?

b) CHINA also abstained in sending their athletes.  No reasons were given.

Probably wanted to buffer some new drug protocol from any testing in order to use it in the next Olympics. Pretty crafty.

Tim:

what is the status of Lurie's lawsuit against the Weider's that they stole the term 'IFBB' from him, since Lurie supposedly used it first?

That part of the world gives much more legitimacy/respect to bodybuilding....honors them right along with all other athletes

Yes Koji is very dedicated, i saw that show on TV last year when i was in Japan, he trains hard, but all the stuff about his eye problem and him not wanting to accept steroidal treatment is over played, he is not natural he gets his gear from the same source as i mentioned before musclecenter, being a juicer does not take anything away from him, he trains his ass off, good bodybuilder, better than Hide!

especially since treatment for an eye problem would be corticosteroids, which are pretty much the opposite of anabolic steroids.

what is the status of Lurie's lawsuit against the Weider's that they stole the term 'IFBB' from him, since Lurie supposedly used it first?

there is no lawsuit.   55 years ago, he might have had a case.

Exactly, he presents himself as natural bodybuilder and the story is he might lose eyesight if he does'nt get the treatment but he insists on competing in the contest instead, all the while taking his anabolics and gh away from the cameras!

WHY EYGPT WITHDRAW 8 OF 9 OF THEIR ATHELTES FROM THE WORLD GAMES BB CHAMPIONSHIP, AND IN THE LAST MINUTES. I DON'T HAVE ANSWER FOR THIS SUDDEN ACTION, BUT MR. HALEEM ASK THIS FROM IFBB PRESIDENTD.

Dear Rafeal,
First of all, why is it that you’re not replying to any of my emails? Are you that gutless? At least be brave and face us with some answers or give up your seat at IFBB! Apparently you don’t have what it takes.
It may be that I'm being too blunt but are you or are you not going to suspend EGYPT for pulling out 8 of their 9 participants in the World Games in Kaohsiung. Their withdrawal in the last minute does raise some questions – are they on drugs? Frightened of the target testing maybe?
Is the IFBB bold enough to reprimand those 8 erring athletes or will it just sit still in its cowardliness?
Haleem
