Title: MUSCLEHEDZ
Post by: kiwiol on July 19, 2009, 09:04:09 PM
Anyone here a fan of the MUSCLEHEDZ cartoon strips by John Gleneicki? There was a time back in the 90s when I used to buy FLEX magazine religiously and it never failed to amuse (like Hard Times). The funniest one I can remember was the one with a female bodybuilder standing on stage looking like the incredible Hulk (with a peanut-sized head) telling another behemoth standing next to "her", "I hope the judges aren't threatened by my overwhelming femininity".

Wonder if John G reads Getbig. Very talented guy who obviously understands competitive bodybuilding - would make a great addition to Getbig if he posted here.

Those cartoons were hilarious.  The best part was, most of them were not far from the truth.  I guess that is what made them so funny.

Ha! I should have known, cause you've made tons of funny posts here, but it never occurred to me that you'd selected your handle for the most obvious and logical reason. Some great stuff you've got going there, man 8)

Ron should give you blue stars for your work.

These cartoons were an integral part of bodybuilding in the 90's... along with fanny packs, spandex, and guys like JD Dawodu.  :P

I have old flex magazines back in the days, and truly, the MuscleHedz section was a hit. I don't know why Flex discontinue it

Yes, that's obviously Vince there attending the show with Vissy next to him, but I was referring to the zit face who's doing all the talking.
