I think his wife (at the time) was the one blowing the horn. I think she brought whistles to the shows he competed in. You could hear the whistles all the time when he posed at mr Olympia.

Man, Dorian just looks utterly incredible there. There's really never been another physique like Yates had with the combo of size, proportions, and condition. Dorian is probably around 260-265lbs there post Olympia (where he competed at 262 lbs) and had an ab/thighs pose that easily is right on par with or superior to that of Wheeler and Ray. That is incredible.
