Title: Yankee Stadium
Post by: CalvinH on July 20, 2009, 08:47:00 AM
Went 2 my first game at the new stadium.I gotta say for "feel" it's nothing like the old park.
but for everything else it blows it away! amenities, bathrooms, room to walk around is fantastic.you don't feel like cattle anymore when coming and going.

...I'll put up some pics later.

Hoping to get to a game in August.

Tickets are pretty easy to get. (Yanks still lead the league in attendance, though).

Rumor has it that the Yankees themselves are selling seats on stub-hub for half the price.

If you go, get the garlic fries.

What good is that if your giving tickets away at half price.

I would think that they were so inflated to begin with, they're still making money off it.

Ty Cobb once said his grandmother could hit a baseball out of Yankee Stadium.

Maybe, maybe not.  Their expenses are very high.  Attendance means nothing if your selling tickets at half price.  It's called a dollar a holler in the advertising world.  In other words, it ain't hard to sell tickets if your practically giving them away.

Cool man.  Tequila rain is garbage.  Infact, everything on Landsdown is crap.  All tourists.  After a weekend or Friday night game, Sonsie is good for a more upscale crowd.  As for bars, I'd go to Dillons, Hurricanes or Revolution.
