I want to knock his head off. Stupid shill >:(

elaborate chief

sometimes he pisses me off, sometime just the opposite. The guy can be completely clueless one moment and then say something good the next.

He's a stand-up comic.
The only time I got ever got upset (if you can call it that) about anything that idiot said was when he made fun of Palin's Down Syndrome baby.
-
I'm not a fan... :-X

I absolutely love Bill Maher and find him to be on the correct side of nearly every issue.

I have to agree. I too can only think of one time when I was upset by something he did on his show.
I didn't see the episode where he made fun of Palin's baby, but I saw the episode where he skewered Monica Lewinsky.
It was absolutely brutal. Total Pwnage. It was soooo bad, it went beyond pwnage to making me re-examine the way I saw her. A week later, I found a flyer in my mailbox from a local real estate agent making a Lewinksy joke. I felt compelled to call his office and leave a message with his secretary that I thought his flyer was in very poor taste. Had I not seen Maher's episode, I probably would have gotten the flyer and laughed like I'm sure so many others did, ...but Maher's sketch was simply brutal. It took me about a good 4 months to get past it. Sometimes, too much empathy can be a bad thing. :P

You were hurt by a caricature of Monica Lewinsky? Can you provide more specifics? Don`t tell me you are THAT easily offended.

Oh Adonis, I really don't think it was me being overly sensitive, ...it was just the blistering cruelty Maher displayed.
His jabs at her were so incredibly piercing, ...by the time he was done, ...I had tears running down my cheeks.
Don't get me wrong, he had been going after her all week. She was definitely cannon fodder for the late night comics. I had sat back and laughed at all his Lewinsky jokes. I'd laughed at all the jokes by most of the late night comedians, ...even made a few of my own. But there was one particular sketch that Maher did that pierced me to the core. It was a Valentine's Day sketch, and Maher went all out for it, ...dressing up in drag. It was hilarious, but brutal. This may sound sexist, ...but I think it just might be a woman thing, ...and you may have to be a woman to get it. It was downright vicious, and completely turned my stomache to Lewinsky jokes for a while.
As for my conversation with the real estate agency, it wasn't a "Leave Britney Alone" kind of meltdown.
It was more a very stern and resolute "I've always enjoyed the whimsical humour you've displayed in your ads, however, I'm truly disappointed that you would choose to exploit a vulnerable young girl in this way. I think it's extremely callous, and in very poor taste." ...kind of thing. He called me up and apologized for offending me with his ad, and we had a nice discussion about it. He was pretty cool about the whole thing. He also stopped using controversial humour in his flyers too.
-
This is the same idiot that called us cowards and the 911 terrorists courageous. ::)

He tends to do this to his black girlfriends...such as Superhead

It takes courage to give your life for a cause--even a despicable, irrational, murderous one.
All Bill did was state an obvious fact

U would ::)

Sorry. The 911 terrorists were evil cowards. All Maher did was make a fool of himself, for which he later apologized.

Actually he was agreeing with the Conservative, Dinesh D`Souza. I don`t think they were cowards if you view the actual act of what they did. I sure would not be capable of doing it.

Do you think the Japanese Kamikaze Pilots were courageous? Apparently they were hailed as THE MOST courageous within the Japanese military. I don`t think you will see the point if you are judging intent instead of the act.

what a surprise ::)
The man is a gatekeeper, he goes along with whatever the MSM is putting out there. Controlling the information, without any independent thought.
It doesn't surprise me you like him, you're like a lemming. Including all the other idiots who go along with whatever he says
>:(

I don't care who said it first. It was a dumb and outrageous comment. I'm not capable of a mass murder. That doesn't make mass murder courageous. That's absurd. There is absolutely nothing courageous about murdering innocent men, women, and children.

I guess you don`t watch his show at all. You are really on the lunatic fringe sometimes with your conspiracy nonsense.

Then why do you call Soldiers courageous when all of the above occurs no matter which flag is affixed to their chest?

American soldiers don't intentionally kill noncombatants. If they do, they get prosecuted like any other criminal. No comparison.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki were intentional and more civilians died than combatants by the thousands. Of course you have Dresden and hundreds of other towns. My mother`s town Boeblingen was decimated by air attack and ground. American soldiers shot and killed two of her great nieces and they were just children. She was named after one of them. The soldiers were never prosecuted or even heard of.
Then you have Vietnam now Iraq where over a million have died according to Door to Door ground estimates conducted by Johns Hopkins University, the most thorough and accurate casualty count ever performed on any single nation at war.
Your rosy view of Americans prosecuting a "clean" war is far from the truth.

I've watched him since his days on ABC. I'll only watch to see the disinfo. Rest of the time he annoys me

I didn't say Americans prosecute a clean war. I don't have a rosy view of war at all. War is hell. Noncombatants always die. But never intentionally. If someone violates the rules of engagement, and the command knows about it, the perps are punished. That's one of the differences between us and those cowardly animals who attacked us on 911.

The problem I think relies on the positive connotation that sometimes is assumed with the word, "Courageous". Courageous does not automatically connote a positive or just act. It is commonplace to assume courageous signifies something done without ill-intent but it can also simply mean bold.

People who have a warped view of courage will use the word like Maher did. Courage connotes brave and legal acts.

Not really. The Sit-ins by African-Americans in Woolworths and other "whites only" lunch counters, were done illegally, yet courageously.

He did a good job in "Body Double"
;D

If you want to go even bigger, The Whole Revolutionary War was fought in "illegal" opposition to Britain. Courageously I might add.

Apples and oranges. That was civil disobedience. The "laws" they were breaking were immoral. What they didn't do was murder innocent people.

This thread is substantive evidence that Adonis is certifiably retarded. Bill Maher is a sickening douchebag.
