Golf is above swimming but looking at the other "athletes", hardly a sport.  More a like a game that requires physical skill.

why is Lance? cause he can ride a bike?  Why tiger? He can hit a little white ball?

Agree - Golf is not an atheltic sport - its in there with darts, tiddliwinks, and snooker.

As for Phelps being the athlete of the decade, that's a bit call. He's definately in my top 50 list, but  Ussain Bolt is right up there, along with a few others...

Armstrong is definately up there. Riding a bycicle counts. Riding a motorbike does not.

It is mostly considered a sport, by the people that do it....just like comp. bbing.


Reality is, neither requires athleticism, thus, not a sport.

Lance is a damn good athlete, but the fact remains that he specialized in the Tour de France.  Nobody would consider Federer the greatest anything if all he competed in was Wimbledon.

Phelps is great. Tiger is great.  Federer is great.   We've had a lot of great ones recently.
