thought that FREEDOM fries was a great way to express Patriotism and have the balls to admit it?
-
freedom fries came out the same week France started questioning the events of 911, coincidentally.

Actually, it had more to do with France's reluctance to join the coalition for the Iraq invasion. There was an article posted here yesterday that detailed a truly odd conversation btwn Chirac and Bush concerning the run up to the war.

fuck no I didn't... When they started that shit, they were attacking France and also Germany. neocons were asking people to boycott items from those countries, especially France. So we started going out and buying items from those countries. On the news we watched some dipshit owner of a restaurant in Denver dump out 5000.00 in french wine and the coverage was very uh "patriotic" ::) for him doing it... morons...

I try to buy Canadian first.
Us second.
Although the stupid by American provision is making me less likely to buy US products.
For Example My wife and I both own Canadian made Toyota's.
All of our furniture we buy is made in Canada.
Small things but it helps.
