I want another kitty but I'm scared the big dogs in my neighborhood will scare it away :(

Keep it indoors. I always had indoor cats. When I was little we had an outdoor cat who ended up getting pregnant and had her kittens under the back porch stairs (which was in our fully gated yard. One day 2 dogs were able to get into the yard (I'm not sure how) and they ended up killing all the kittens. :( Ever since then I always kept any cats I ever had inside.

I've heard that almost all white cats with blue eyes are deaf and usually go blind at a young age :(

I have heard that too. I had a white cat with one blue eye and one green/brown eye. He was not deaf or blind. Had the greatest personality. Unfortunately Mike was highly allergic to him (he had long hair). A friend of mine found a woman (a friend of her sisters) that ended up taking him and she just spoils him crazy. :)
