I think Vince may also have signed with the WBF after the 1990 Mr O.

What the hell do you expect with a name like Vince Commerford in bodybuilding? Dude has G4P written all over himself. Dude was probably giving handjobs for milk money in the 3rd grade.

Not quite!!
Vince Comeford jouned the WBF, adopting the nickname "The Phoenix". He competed in the 1991 WBF Championship. The last time I saw him was on an episode of BodyStars, aired one week before the 1992 Championship.
At the show, however, the MC, "Mean" Gene Okerlund, announced that Comeford had pneumonia and would not be competing that evening. His routine in the entertainment round was supposed to be right before that of champion, Gary Strydom.
Instead, they simply played his "pre-film", consisting of a Native American telling a bunch of youngsters, around a campfire, about the legend of "The Phoenix". In the flames, while he's telling the story is footage from Comeford's 1991 posing routine.
-
He was going to my college while I attended. Two buddies actually had a class with him. Apparently he wasn't huge but wasn't tiny either and would give them BBing advice.

Robby taught Vince everything he knows about wallet theft, probably taught him the secret of how to win Mr World with only one shot of Primobolan ::)

Thanks. Assuming he still trains, someone must see him at the gym. I wonder what he looks like now. Did he ever actually kill any giants?

Actually, that would be Danny Padilla (see his "Dancing with the 'Shrooms" routine from the 1992 WBF Championship).

dude had great arms, would have been pretty good ifbb'er if he didn't crossover.
-
I liked Lee better without the face tat.
-

The guy still trains yes, but is a shadow is his former self. Developed a nasty coke habit in the 90s and was in jail for couple of years. Been doing mostly bouncing and personal training these days.
Nice guy!

Are you serious? Ouch! :'(
In fairness, most guys from his generation are a shadow of their former selves. Strydom is the rare exception.

Vince looks like a poor mans Lee Priest.

That's why I'm happily married to a female homo. Trust me if I was gay there's no way in hell I'd be living a lie in a heterosexual relationship. If I had cock on the brain I sure as hell wouldn't be hanging around Getbig trolling for it. Unlike Smokincrazy. Closet homo. In fact BayGBM he might suit your liking.

Vince looks like a poor mans Lee Priest.
That is true today…. because guys like Lee have created a new (for better or worse) standard, but at the time, Vince had an impressive, respectable physique. He was a competing pro and routinely graced magazine covers. It is strange to look back at (magazine) cover guys like Vince, Tim Belknap, etc. and think about how poorly their physiques would place today. :-\
Would they even be pros today? ???
