Title: Low Protein Diet & Deacidification
Post by: Tapeworm on August 15, 2009, 04:52:19 PM
Anything to this or is it bullshit?

I'm considering a mostly vegan diet as an experiment for a few weeks, just to see how I feel, look, and perform.  Excessive protein consumption never seemed to do anything for me unless I was very hypocaloric anyway.

This is serious thread.

i think its bullshit.

the body is always at the same ph level regardless of acid foods or alkaline foods ingested. it has a process to balance out theseinbalances in ph.

meat is acidc, true.

but if you are eating more alkaline foods than acidic foods (more vegetables than meat) your body will be doing a "deacidification"...

which is kind of a fallacyanyways...

too acidic of a diet is bad, but too alkaline is bad as well.

its about balance between the two.
