An explosion at the Sayano-Shushenskaya Hydroelectric power plant in southern Siberia left 12 dead and 64 missing. The plant is a dam across the Yenisei River.
The plant has ten turbines and dynamos. One was destroyed, two “partially destroyed”, three damaged.
The question in my mind,…and please, anyone with engineering, technical knowledge speak up,…what can explode in a hydroelectric power plant?
Sorry about the choice of boards, couldn't make up my mind…

I don't even know what a nuclear panter plant is anyway.....

Who needs hydroelectric engineers? I say we wait for Sevastase to get off the phone with Stewart Swerdlow and tell us what really happened here.

I'm not a hydroelectric engineer but my old man is a TV repairman. He has the ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.

Of course. And he will be a millionaire cagefighter that dates Meghan Fox.

Yeah, I'm a hydro-electric engineer.
Basically something got to hot and then it exploded in terms we can all understand.
