It was the 68th Florida execution since the death penalty was reinstated in 1979, the 24th by injection and the second this year.

John Richard Marek.  Took 26 years though.  WTF??

Personally I think it took too long and the lethal injection is too humane.

Who wants to be nice?

I wouldn't say it's too nice, but I've always questioned why the death penalty has to be painless (especially lethal injection).
