So it looks like Vasquelez is figthing Rothwell....
this looks even more like Carwin/Lesnar will happen. Who wins?
I think if Carwin can keep this thing standing up, it's over very quickly. Brock will have to try to gnp him...
Carwin is 6'4'' 255. Lesnar 6'2'' 265.
I actually like Carwin in this.. he also has a few more fights tucked in his belt... but we've never seen his ground game.
THoughts?

carwin wins fairly easily then the bandwagon jumpers will hitch themselves to the cawin wagon quite disgusting really.but hey everyone loves a winner...

Posted from a dude on the UFC fourm
Carwin and Lesnar have simular backgrounds.
Brock wrestled in high school with a record of 33-0-0. then he wrestled in college. Lesnar won the 2000 NCAA wrestling championship as a heavyweight after placing second in 1999. Lesnar finished his amateur career as a two-time NJCAA All-American, 1998 NJCAA Heavyweight Champion, two-time NCAA All-American, two-time Big Ten Conference Champion, and the 2000 NCAA heavyweight champion with a record of 106–5 overall in four years of college
Shane also wrestled in college, becoming a two-time NCAA Division II Wrestling National Runner-Up Heavyweight in 1996-7, and the NCAA II Wrestling Heavyweight National Champion in 1999. He was also a two-time All-American in football. Carwin is also a volunteer wrestling coach for the University of Northern Colorado.
Carwin and Lesnar's fighting style is primarily wrestling and boxing but Shane has the better stand up.
Both Carwin and Brock run a 4.1 in NFL tryouts.
Carwin out benches Brock by 55 or 65 pounds, that's a pretty dam big edge strength wise.
Brock Has a 81 inch reach, Carwin has a 80 in reach.
Brock walks around at 285 to 295, Carwin walks around at 280 to 290.
There the exact same height.
Brock is a Div 1 wrestling champ 1 time and a 1 time runner up.
Carwin is a 2 time Div 2 champ and a 1 time runner up. (unsure of record)
(There a difference yes between Div1 and Div2 but Carwin has been wrestling since age 6 and coaches it at the local collage still.)
Brock has been studying bjj for 9 monthes or so and is said to be around a purple belt in it.
Carwin has been studying bbj for 3 years and has a purple belt in it.
Carwin has 5 subs and 6 tko/ko's.
Carwin notably has the biggest hands in the UFC. He wears the same 4X gloves as Lesnar does, but must cut them open on the sides to make them fit. Carwin trains with custom made 5X gloves, but cannot use them in fights where official UFC fight gloves must be worn.

MAY COCK CHESTNER BECOME CARWINS' 5XL HAND PUPPET
-
cock chestner? bwahahhahahahah ;D ;D
-
gonzaga handled carwin well until he got that lucky punch, randy easily out wrestled gonzaga.
when your hands are heavy enough to knock someone out it doesnt matter about the punch power after that.
brock has better wrestling than carwin and he wont leave any distance for a trade off.
i hate brock but he has this one.
brock needs to be beaten by someone with decent wrestling, good power but most important an insaine rubber guard. I'd pick noguera to fight brock over anyone in the ufc.
-
Brock has a slight edge in wrestling.but carwin has a substantial edge in the submission game.and when you factor in his size being equal to lesners and having slightly more strength and better stand up.well lets just say this is a fight I'm looking forward to.and to be fair in comparison Brock is quicker than Carwin.
-
Carwin will check Brocks chin for sure, it could be lights out for the big man.
-
Bad news for the legions of Brocksuckers.

So what happens if Brock wins? Will he start to get some respect in the MMA world?
-
I think Brock's met his match...I see Carwin taking it by KO, we're still unsure if Lesnar can strike or more importantly take a hard shot to the grill.

yes...If brock beats Carwin I will def give him his due props...

Hopefully the fight lasts awhile to make it worthwhile, regardless of who wins.

Bullshit!!
-
IF carwin connects its lights out. but i have a feeling that brock will take him down and gnp..carwin was taken down by gonzaga so i m sure brock will take him down at will. i will be rooting for carwin though..seems like a good guy

Bullshit!!
Was wondering when someone was going to call that... ;D
Maybe a 4.7/4.9, 4.1 to the coors light keg maybe.
-
Brock Lesnar via verbal tapout
-
lol Im glad someone else picked up on that imaginary 4.1 number in the NFL try outs.
The fastest guy in the NFL doesnt run a 4.1. I highly doubt two husky defensive lineman types that couldn't make an NFL team and are 250+ can run 4.1's
-
This is a good match up. Two big ass dudes beating the shit out of each other.
-
Lesnar will kill Carwin.
Carwin's just a big fcuking hype.
Lesnar would be in real trouble against say Heath Herring or Werdum (if he came back to the UFC).
But Carwin's just not in the same league.
Lesnar has superior wrestling, and won't have to worry about Carwin dominating him on the ground.
Carwin's decent as long as he's allowed to stand and trade.
Classic case of wishful thinking on the behalf of gay admirers of Carwin. 8)

was thinkin the same thing ha ha....spoken like a guy that truly has no idea what he's talkin about.Plus says Carwins a big Hype when brocks only had 5 fights himself.who's the big hype?
-
Carwin has like twice as many fights as Brock and is undefeated. This should be Brocks toughest test yet. I am looking forward to seeing these two vanilla gorillas mix it up in the cage.

X2

Carwin HAS to prevent the takedown, otherwise it is Brock, all day. Carwin was also rocked against Napao. Brock could also KO him. That being said, I hope Carwin derails the frate train.

id like to know how brock became a purple in bjj in 9 months when it takes most guys at renzos, who are awesome around 5 years minimum to get a purple ???
