Title: Who is Obama's Green Czar Van Jones?
Post by: Bindare_Dundat on August 24, 2009, 06:14:09 PM
In an April 12, 2009 World Net Daily article titled “Will a “red” help blacks go green?”Aaron Klein reports that Jones himself stated in a 2005 interview his environmental activism was a means to fight for racial and class “justice,” and that he was a “rowdy black nationalist,” and a “communist.” He was arrested during a demonstration/riot following the Rodney King verdict. And he said himself that he was radicalized in jail, that he found communism and anarchism.

Because the administration’s “czars” do not go through congressional confirmation, and are therefore not scrutinized or vetted, many Americans have no idea who they are or where they come from.

He has a point. I'm refering to Van Jones, not Glenn Beck. The only point Beck has, is the pointy one on top of his head, ...molded no doubt from years of wearing a dunce cap.

The rich cannot sustain or grow their wealth, if the poor are unable to purchase & consume their products.

By the same token, reducing the carbon footprint in the suburbs without tackling the majour output source is like peeing in the wind. We all breathe the same air, ...and just as our environment is affected by brown clouds from China, so too is the rarified air of North Chicago, impacted by the toxins and pollutants so very prevalent in South Chicago. Decision makers of the past either never fully understood, ...or if they did, didn't care about their myopic environmental impact of urban planning and flawed urban planning.

I've seen some of the things Jones is up to, ...and yes, he is a more effective Revolutionary these days.

Years ago, revolutionaries wanting a more equitable & egalitarian society, screamed, protested, on occasion got violent, and basically made a whole bunch of noise, ...but not really getting much done. Nowadays, they understand anarchy just expends alot of energy, but doesn't focus it. Just as the sun's rays are powerful enough to burn a hole in a sheet of paper, without the focus provided through a magnifying glass, those rays are merely diffused, ...and while present, are not very effective in burning the paper.

In a nutshell, Van has partnered with those who have magnifying glasses, and who also know how to use them.... to great effect. so ya, ...he is making a difference in a good way, ...in a sustainable way, ...in a way that is beneficial to America. Don't let Beck scare you... you know his audience, and who he is trying to reach. Do you consider yourself one of those? Van may be a revolutionary, but he is one who loves his country, and seeks to make it a more equitable, egalitarian, and just society.

In the following video, activist Majora Carter details her fight for environmental justice in the South Bronx -- and shows how minority neighborhood suffer most from flawed urban policy.

Van Jones from the White House Council of Environmental Quality visits a local work site that gives us a glimpse of the clean energy economy that's on the way. Green roofing is just one of the countless green job opportunities that will emerge from President Obama's comprehensive energy policy.
