Victor Martinez on the latest MD cover, looking like the Mr. Olympia he will be.
-
he's looked small in recent pics. I'm guessing we see the top 6 small and ripped in 2009.
-
ok we wont count you out victor haha.

The time that Vic had to become Mr. Olympia has passed. He had a good shot awhile back, but then he decided to shoot his arms with oil, rip off gym members, his unfortunate leg injury (certainly he didn't want that), and whatever host of other stuff I missed.
Now there's too many up and comers (Heath, Kai, Wolfe) and other guys that are hungrier for it.
-
Is that his natural tan?
-
already counted. so sorry victor martinez

It was just the picture. Guaranteed he will be as big as at the Arnold with probably improved legs.

His appearance at the Arnold was Poor!

Two years ago, Victor was in great shape at the Olympia.
There is no reason to think that Victor cannot acheive that at this year's Olympia.
Never count out anyone, including Victor.
For those of you who dont remember, Ronnie Coleman went from 9th place to 1st place between the 1997 and 1998 Mr. Olympia.

(1) There is reason...did Jay EVER show up anywhere NEAR his 2001 shape ever again?! Nope. How about Gunther in his 2002 shape? No, close but still no cigar. History seems to show that people in this day and age in regards to BBing, do not replicate their shape. For whatever reason you'd like to cite, it just no longer happens. Guys hitting their peak happens far less these days as when compared to any other era.
(2) This saying is getting tiresome. It's old, far too cliche, and when applied to BBing it is highly inaccurate. Unless you are talking about the same 4-5 pros in every contest, when was the last time you saw Tricky Jackson give Ronnie Coleman a run for his money to qualify for an Olympia, let alone during the O? How about seeing Ntuk Ntuk (or whatever his name is) placing near the top 6 in the Ironman with a field that was more than 3 competitive pros deep?
